So I've been playing pretty much all day and today seems to be a bad day for team killers. I've ran into about 5 different people today and reported them all, this last game I just dropped in had yet another TKer and I tried to report them but it said I had reached my limit. So do I just not get to report people who are obviously greifing because I've seen to many today?

Essentially, yes.

before the current reporting system I was in the habit of taking screen shots

and noting the date and time
then we e-mailed PGI

I would still do this in addition to the in game reporting system

IIRC the limit for reports a day is at five.

It's probably to prevent people from trolling the system.

It is.

If it weren't limited so, then you could have members of units that don't like someone from another unit, or just for the hell of it, file a bunch of spurious reports on someone in the hopes of getting them banned.

I know it's not exactly the same, but look at what happened in EVE Online just recently. An entire alliance was for all intents and purposes destroyed, and their leader banned.

If people were allowed unlimited reports, they could do the same here, get the leader of a rival unit banned and then that unit may or may not have someone to take over, thus leaving that units assets basically useless.

Yeah. It's an anti-spam measure.

If you're in T5, you're likely reporting the same people multiple times due to an influx of trolls anyway. If it's a Trial assault with an offensive name, anyway.

I usually save mine until that one extremely bad apple comes along and give them 3. Don't know if it's related, but after the third there's a disconnect of said person that follows. Three strikes you're out?

It probably won't make you feel any better, but PGI doesn't actually do anything about TK players anyhow. Reporting for that is basically only a 'make yourself feel good' exercise.

Basically. It can get pretty bad. In other F2P games, I've seen people sitting still for the first several minutes reporting every player they can that is better than them (checking the leaderboards and/or using a mod that displays their stats in game), then after they run out of reports spends the rest of the match calling other people "cheaters" or saying "they were trolling/griefing/TKing last match" to try to get those people banned while doing absolutely jack **** for the game.

It has been at least 3 years since the last time I have seen a deliberate TK. All others have been perceived accidents.

You're in T1. The current issues have been with throwaway accounts, which generally don't last long enough to even get T4, much less T5.

At the T5 level, it's far more common the past few weeks due to deliberate action.

Um... not quite, close but no. Judge (the Guild bookkeeper/accountant) stole everything from the alliance and its players (yup, you can steal from other people in EVE) totaling around $13,000 USD in damages, then baited the founder to threatening him while Judge livestreamed it and had his followers PM the devs/mods because EVE has a 0 tolerance policy to threatening IRL harm, which ended up perma-banning the founder of said guild. Also this wasn't "recent", this was 13 years ago.

Lol there has been a "reported" see what I did there :3, bunch of brainless ********, running around grieving and trolling in trialmechs, which happen to be mcmetacheese ******** (my complaint about handing horrible garbage to new players aside, which can't be skilled up) all attempts to report/record/get them banned is useless, because one admitted he was making scripts to auto new accounts and was caught saying "it's fine, I have 100s more emails" your serious best bet sadly is let the shitstain kill you, apologize to the other team, and move on with your day, because if you tk him back he can report YOU, even though all you did was respond in kind, and pgis stance is relatively grey on this, I wish they'd force some sort of mechanic for new accounts, won't say valid credit card because that's a whole new shitstorm, fek I don't know there's gotta be something that's verifiable and not silly, maybe a meme test, you pass your mac/unique hardware ids are permabanned?
Nah but seriosuly don't give the tards what they want, attention and retaliation, let them kill you wait ten seconds(remember the team damage mechanic is tiered for ever tk/dmg over 100, 10seconds-1min-5min-10-30-1hour-12-24 and so on, eventually the pissant will give up because you starved him :3, problem solved, or just give us nprotect or gameguard, or votekick :3

If it was in fact 13 years ago, why is this article from PCGamer only 6 days old? I think your timeline might be a little off.

And right from the start I said it wasn't the exact same thing, but it is, in fact, concerted and concentrated actions, by players, affecting other players, that is the real crux of the issue we're discussing.

If players were allowed unlimited "complaints" against other players, this is what could be the result.

Good grief. It's amazing the things people will do over just a video game. Glad it's not like that here.

Yah, sorry bout that. It was a comment from an announcer/caster in the video I heard about it saying "Even after 13 years he will not be unbanned...".
