This is one of those things that should have been in place as a matter of course. The only thing notable is how embarrassingly long it took them to do this.

Problem of organised vs inorganised experience still stands (especially if you don't have friends to play with), but...
Conquest, Domination and Incursion - all play out better in FP IMHO. In conquest you NEED those caps always because it's nigh impossible to kill every red in time if reds go gor caps. Also, lights or fast meds in every wave are a must. Domination actually allows pushing people back from the circle and winning even if you're lower on kills. Incursion because batteries last enough to make sense chasing them from time to time and you can sometimes risk sending 2 ecm dudes around to damage red base and force enemy to try to push yours.

The team imbalance in Faction Play is less about Premade vs Pug and more Tier 1-2 Premades vs tier 3-5 Pugs. It's uncommon for the better ranked team to actually lose even when they are pugs facing a premade. It largely boils down to the collective skill of your team vs collective skill of their team.
Unfortunately, there is no solving this problem unless Faction Play becomes popular enough to support a matchmaker.

Hm. You'd think the implementation of the event tracker would come with some sort of event. Even just something like a single daily win - Something to show it off.
But no dice. Weird.
