From the old videos I've watched with the swirling missiles.. I was wondering.. If the missile flight pattern were to be individualized so they don't all focus on one spot at certain distances.. Would it be possible to bring back the swirling long/short range missiles?

Even if the range was reduced from 1,000m to 800m for the LRMs it'd be interesting to me to use LRM/SRM builds.

Not sure how much work would be involved to give each missile their own flight path so they don't repeat but figured I'd ask out of curiosity.

Before making another post of the same question I figured I'd search through my profile to see if I already asked what I was curious about and found this.

Does anyone, by chance, know how much work would be involved to bring back the swirling missiles in a way they don't converge in one spot at certain intervals instead of being streamlined?

Why not have them converge on a "sweet spot"? That would help to get lrm players into or at least close to the frontline to maximize their damage instead of lobbing volley after volley into a wall from 999 meters away.

Since there's already a chance for some of the missiles to completely miss the target, having them act like Streak Missiles where they hit random spots on the target while hitting the terrain would be decent to keep players from saying "OMIGOSH LURM TOO OP! PLZ NERF!"

The tactic to be able to have all missiles converge on one spot would be nice but yeah, that's the reason they removed the swirling missiles in the first place because of them centering on one spot at set distances. Giving LRMs a slight unfair advantage.

Considering the fact that they are considered by many to be the absolute worst weapon in the game by a huge margin, a very difficult to utilise mechanic is unlikely to make them OP.
