[Lightspark]

Lately the portal has been asking me for admin access to update the game every 2 days or so going:

request to update the portal --> windows installer --> portal updates

Is this behaviour normal? I'm asking because for months the portal never acted this way and now does so frequently.

I've kinda had this as well. I'm not sure it's bugged, but everytime I start a new session, the portal immediately wants to update.

It's odd because it doesn't seem to download anything, the update seems to be already on the computer. I get the feeling it's installing the same update over and over, and doesn't clear itself from whatever thing it uses to update itself.

But it's possible the've made several updates to it trying to fix some bugs.

want to play, click portal, update, 1 to 3 minutes later I get to play....

Personally, got tired of the Portal not patching, and having to patch the game through the old launcher.. so I installed from Steam..

Works fine so far.. game auto-updated (shockingly) the last hotfix.. will see how it works on the next patch.

I have the same problem so far 3 portal updates

I assumed it was making minor updates to the Tournament client or something.

your surprised that this software has bugs, you have played the game ?

I figured it was tweaks to some part of the client.
