Yes Equip HP etc was all altered maybe 9 months ago? I forget. Just go over the monthly patch notes from 6months+ ago, it'll be in one of them.

I instantly noticed the change (for the worse). Say on a BLR - once open, I was losing my LPLs constantly where before I'd be dead (XL checked) before losing a single laser.

That said even when over the 100% I don't seem to lose weapons. I either blow off a torso or not.

Actually the override heat is kind of like gambling with lady luck. Sometimes you get 3 severe chops to the CT and fall down dead quickly, other times the heat is too busy bouncing between your arms and legs to really bother you. It is another RNG aspect in that way, but again I hate the idea of shutdowns and losing control of my mech, a lot more than the overheat damage system, despite its flaws.
