Hello everyone.

Star Citizen uses nearly the same engine as Mechwarrior Online, so why not suggest there be a small cross-over? Importing of models shouldn't be too much trouble on their end, and besides Star Citizen is like a mish-mash of all sci-fi of the past 30 years anyway, so why not a little Mechwarrior? They're nearly cousins at this point, especially since they're in the year 2947 (Mechwarrior has plenty of tech of that era that I would imagine could be incorporated into their universe, and later into ours).

Here is a link to the year 2900 in the Mechwarrior universe. If anyone finds something interesting while going through the years that would be awesome to see as a cross-over element in Mechwarrior Online as well as their game, list it below.

Thanks for your time everyone.

I would not encourage them to add any more stuff to the game until it's 'done'. Posted Image

To be more serious i guess such a move would not satisfy many Battletech fans. Lore would be reduced to a minimum because Star Citizen simply is not Battletech, and many Battletech fans take lore very seriously. And good luck implementing a nice mechwarrior gameplay experience for a minor feature, it will probably feel much worse than MWO.

In my opinion Star Citizen would be far better off to implement their own Mech Combat a few years after release than to bother with us salty hardcore Battletech fans who all have a different vision on what a good Mechwarrior Experience should look like... Posted Image

No, just sell the whole game to them

Here's another incentive to try and do a mech cross-over...the mechs in their universe are not proportionately correct in their lore and not as refined as it is in the Battletech universe.

Watch the video and consider re-voting.

Why help a company that’s been scamming since it release? Is that game even out of prealpha? XD

Even though your comment contains sarcasm ("scamming" lol), I will reiterate what I said in my first post which was, that I feel there can be a bit of a cross-over developed (nearly the same engine and genre as MWO).

Since they are developing mechs (albeit poorly according to them) why not have a bit of our mechs somehow find their way into their universe from the only game title dedicated to mech development, that is also using assets since the 80s and 90s. Like I said, they're nearly cousins.

The Minnesota Tribe could be worked in, or something relating to the Explorer Corps, or even possibly something related to the IE. There are mysterious lost holes in the Battletech Universe that do exist. Also, it doesn't mean that the player-base on their end can purchase a mech from our universe like they can here and use it, but it would be cool to possibly see a temporary story line cross-over instance linking the two universes together in some way, even if they're merely fighting a mech on a planet or a fleet of ships from our universe when they hit the edge of theirs.

Cool things like cross-overs have been done, so why not with Battletech??
