Edit: Interesting. That thing is capped at 180 vs 190. I can see how that would cause confusion.

Battlemech. (Clan) Omnimechs have letters (DWF-A), (Clan) battlemechs have numbers (PIR-1).

The exception being the PGI made variants, which are always letters. But if it has any number variants, its a Battlemech.

Actually it is slower than a Locust with a 180 cap.
Seems strange since a 190 cap is available for the Locust.

This is probably done, considering the fact that the Piranha comes stock with a 180 engine, and as per engine rules in mwo,

They did this mainly I think that in the idea to not completely obsolete the locust or other lights, considering that this would be the goto mech after it gets released for cbills

There are already a couple of very vocal people who dont like critting when they get critted out by a critlynx, this will just make their cries and potato tears flow that much harder.

I expect that given all the wailing and shedding of tears over the Mist Lynx, the Piranha, with all those extra hard points is gonna be "balanced" by having no armor quirks to speak of. Like he Locust it will be difficult to keep all those MGs on target except in wee little bursts. With no extra armor this thing will be a literal one shot wonder (as in it will get one shot a lot and we will all wonder why we ever wanted this fragile little guy in the first place). If they do give it appreciable armor quirks at first, it is a near guarantee that it will lose them when it drops for cbills. I think it will be a fun addition while the quirks last.

Considering the Nova-level hardpoints it has, vs the Locust, I think such a move is more than warranted.

that the guys who draws and the ones who model arent the same? That concept art differs from final art (like everything ever made since i dunno...ever.) or is subject to changes when being developed? Especially for reasons...
