Dropped in as IS into a Boreal Siege Defend, saw that the clan side had 5 [TOG] and 3 [PHL] so the first thought I had was damn another roflstomp.

23 minutes later we emerged victorious with a 48-28 victory. Even though none of us were actually in a group, all of us were solo, we won. Thanks to Cpt Ralphy drop-calling and laying out general tactics, and the rest of us basically falling in line and doing what's needed.

Kudos for him for good calling, your team for fighting well, and perhaps just as much, for you coming here to tell everyone about it. It's always a joy to see good play appreciated by someone, yours or otherwise.

Should really bring back the 'Toot Someone Else's Horn' threads.

Grats. Having a good drop caller is heaven-sent for pugs.

I don't know what this [TOG] is, but it sounds disappointing. :P

Nothing with 'TOG' in it is ever disappointing.

Meh, defending Boreal in IS mechs is easy.

If El Bandito would tell the story of his teams attack on Grim Portico some days ago, that would be a great stoy. They used trickery and deceit, and it was a pleasure to loose against such a team. Never have I seen a Marauder that looked so dooming... really, tell the tale, people should sing songs to your units honor!

I have been enough roflstomp IS defends to say it's NOT easy, even if the defenders aren't all pugs. These days I take any IS win in any way, but this win was particularly joyful. I recorded it but sadly it was missing the audio. In it, Cpt Ralphy was graceful in accepting our gratitude by saying something to the effect that having someone drop calling wasn't enough, but also that the team was playing together and following calls and not running off rambo'ing.

But yes I'd love to hear this story.
