i used to have a ping of 18-22 since beta, since the new year it went up to 38-42, but more recently i am above 250 on the NA server from NJ /NYC area and cant seem to lower it. would replacing the onboard ethernet with a discreet pcie ethernet card help? i will be doing some tests with a wifi adapter to see if i can narrow down whats happening, any suggestions would be appreciated.

my internet is wired
speedtest is 210m down 38m up
ethernet says connected at 1g
isp is north jersey optimum online

my friend had me install a browser add-on called privacy badger, after i uninstalled it it seems back to normal ping.

I sincerely doubt your ethernet port is the issue. On a list of things likely to cause networking problems, thats at the bottom, below local cabling, networking equipment (Switches, Routers, Modems), server issues and cloud problems.

And is that 210/38Mbps?

...I hate you.

yeah i was getting 28m down and 7m up then threatened to switch to verizon gigabit so they dropped my price 30$ added showtime and upped my service.

ping is around 260 wired or wifi , even ran a ping test from command prompt to mwomercs.com and it was the same.

my ping to Alberta is 1/3 of my ping to mwo.
