You cant fit any x20 type weapons, you can fit an x10 type weapon in each arm if you like but that leaves you 1-2 slot(s) for a machine gun only. Its default loadout feels totally underwhelming and restricts you to a pathetic few choices of setup, trying to say this trade off is because of the ecm suite would be a huge overstatement, its totally not worth it.
If i want a decent ECM assault im afraid im sticking to the Marauder-IIC-D, it vastly outclasses the NSR-10P in every way imaginable, the NSR-10P has exactly no plus sides apart from okay weapon clearance, but as you will be mostly tickling your enemy that bonus doesnt feel like it amounts to much.
Pretty disappointed tbh.

Or ignore the guy ranting above me and put two Gauss and an a HPPC in it....pretty much what sane persons use on their Marauder IIC (well the 2C uses 2 ERLLaser and 2 Gauss)

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
edit: Ok, that works pretty well if only for the annoyance factor of your target getting all of that cockpit shake.

Yea well it is like with any Clan Mechs.
For every IS mech there is a Clan mech that is at least 10 tonns lighter, is more nimble or outright faster, packs the same punch and got better hitboxes.
And that would lorewise be absolute ok with me if there wasn't the fact that PGI realy botched the Geometrics of the last Clan and IS mechs.
NSR should be a large but slim and streamlined Battlemech with a flat top and barrelshaped torso and the MadCat Mk II on the other hand was always known for beeing extremely broad and bulky with large sidetorsoes....
What did we get ?
A MadCat II that has the frontal area of an Uziel and a Nightstar that, despite beeing an avianoid, has the same hight as a Banshee and almost the same frontal area.
As the situation is atm the Nightstar has absolutely nothing going for it.
Any possible possitive feature is canceled out by uncalled and contra lore artwork and design failures.
