get rid of random map and modes or let people pick their drops after confirming map or mode. problem solved.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around why isDHS is as big as they are. Also, I could say the same as to why IS don’t get the MCII or the Vulture (the IS version of the MDD for those who don’t know) as well as the Shadowcat and ER pulse lasers. The isERPLs don’t have to be as good as Clans, just somewhat better than the PLs that IS currently have because I’m pretty sure IS had a pretty big stockpile of these somewhere.

You're thinking of the Avatar. 'Vulture' is just the IS name for the Mad Dog. Which we don't have because PGI hates IS Omnimechs (And by extension, me).

Also, the IS doesn't get ER Pulse Lasers. They get X-Pulse.

CDHS need a nerf, Gauss needs less ammo/ton,
XL issue could be partially improved by giving less penalty for loosing torso on LFE and some structure bonuses for using STD.

What "runs hotter"? What does it mean?


Im pretty sure Clan mechs run more hotter. You can take more weapons, in particular secondaries which aren't so heavy but neither vitally important, you also have more slots so you can take more heatsinks.

Clan mechs when played well can surf the upper portions of heat gauge much better. They generally have more cooling ability. The latter you seem to have agreed on?

So consider an example, you have a Clan assult or heavy that has 20 double heatsinks. And you have 0 heat.

Are you using those heatsinks, or not using them? Correct, they do nothing when you have no heat. Those are dead weight. If you often have 0 heat while having great cooling ability, YOU are dead weight.

So anyone playing their Clan mechs to their best should be running generally more hot. You can't dissipate heat if you don't "carry" it.

why even post if you have nothing useful to say? you didnt even attempt to refute why you think im wrong. back up your statements with actual evidence if you want anyone to take you seriously.

balancing the two unbalanced tech bases doesnt seem foolish to me. my suggestions accomplish that. it balances out the enormous disparity between clan engines/heatsinks and IS engines/heatsinks. Which is exactly what the game needs.

the only people who would find that foolish are the people who are content with the game being unbalanced and clan mechs being better than IS mechs. which we have to assume is you since youve presented no real argument other than "khobai is a poopy head waa waa I dont like him"
