The longest serving league in Mechwarrior/Battletech online gaming, Netbattletech is looking for additional Clan units to take on the mantles of various Homeworld factions in its 3062 campaign, the beleagured FRR, the Rim Collection of the periphery and various mercenary units.

The various Homeworld Clans represent an opportunity for smaller units with less or no competitive experience to get introduced to the best version of faction warfare available, representing one of the many minor Clans struggling over limited resources, hoping to break out and eventually earn their way into the Invasion Corridor for honor and glory. Periphery factions such as the Rim Collection offer similar levels of challenge and exposure.
Available factions include:
Clan Steel Viper
Clan Cloud Cobra
Clan Ice Hellion
Clan Blood Spirit
Clan Hells Horses
Clan Coyote
Clan Fire Mandrill
And soon to be available due to a unit moving to another faction, Clan Goliath Scorpion.
Free Rassalhauge Republic
Rim Collection
Mercenary Units
If you are interested in an environment where matches do more than change colored dots on a star map, where resources matter, most DROPDECs aren't "meta" due to production scarcity, where player driven politics and a true sandbox for MWO exists, take a look at NBT.

Just look at this - you have the whole of the human galaxy to play in. You can click on a system you control and load Battlemechs on your Dropships, then dock the Dropships to a Jumpship. Then you PICK a star system to send that Jumpship to. Is it too far? Oh look, a charging station so you can make another jump!
When you arrive, you can launch a raid on the enemy planets (played in Private Lobby in MWO) and if you win, steal money, salvage or steal battlemechs. Or if you have been fighting the enemy enough you can launch a Sector Assault and fight the enemy for ownership of those planets!
Once they are yours YOU collect the income from them, and if they have 'mech factories YOU can buy the battlemechs they produce. And if someone wants to take those planets away from you... then fine, they have to come and fight you for them.
Alliances matter, distances matter, the number of Dropships and Jumpships you have matters, hiring mercenaries matters, the mech types available in your factories MATTER. Factions of all types are active, from the Great Houses to minor Periphery states, to Warden and Crusader Clans... even Pirates (looking at you Isengrim!).
It's a great way to get your Battletech fix while using MWO for one of the few things it is actually good for... driving big stompy battlemechs and having fun blasting stuff with your friends. And there is lively RP action on official forums, providing some STORY and some BACKDROP and some REASONS for all of the fighting that is going on. There is Diplomacy, Economics, Logistics... the whole spectrum of stuff that MWO promised and never really delivered.
https://www.netbattletech.com/ <-- The interface is all browser-based, there is no software to download and participation is free. If you don't check it out you only have yourself to blame.

NBT is a fantastic way to enjoy MWO. Where playing games in quick play and group queue are great, this service means your games have value. Playing a few games on the weekend can advance your faction to new heights, protect your borders or, grow your territories. I would recommend anyone form a team and take control of one of the major factions in the battle tech universe.
10/10 would do again.

This is what Faction Warfare should have been. The complex system and able to have real factions would have taken faction warfare (PGI) to another whole level if they used %5 of what netbattletech is. I played this in MW4 and loved it to a level where I compare almost all warfare to this type of level.
As far as PGI faction warfare is a joke

Bump for the Epicness.... the season is rolling along and the fighting has started to get hot and heavy but there is still room for more pilots to join existing factions and there are a few factions available for units or an alliance of units to control!

If anyone wants to claim CHH and get a unit going then you have a MechWarrior recruit right here. I do not want to lead a unit. I did that in MWLL and it became too much like a second job. However, I would be happy to help.
