It is.

Screen by the best modder for the most profitable game ever. Just showing some of the best done things possible out there. Shows depth of field very well to.

These modders are doing things that wont be in games for another 5 years. Most machines cant handle it is why.

MW 5 will have to be built so machines can handle it as well.

another problem

from the article

you want a little bit of logistics (where you go, how you get there, how many Mechs to take)
bullets is to much

you don't want a management nightmare

Gamers today have no idea how easy it is to manage your ammo from previous games. They just want to jump shoot jump shoot jump shoot like in COD, or pick up ammo boxes that magically appear near a spawn point. MWO is nothing like that and should be that way.

Oversell! Under deliver! Oversell! Under deliver! Oversell! Under deliver!

I hope it's a good game, but 5 years of MWO has taught me to expect the bare minimum.

modders always like to push engines far beyond whats possible. then when you try to run it on a machine anywhere below top of the line and it doesnt work, because you failed to understand the limitations of the engine. years roll on by and we still dont have the cpu power to run all that n^2 crap that you are making your engine chew through, because moore's law is dead. the techpocalypse is nigh!

also depth of field isnt really that hard to do. all you are doing is using the value from the z buffer to determine how much to blur that pixel, its fairly linear. its so old it was a selling point for one of the latter day voodoo cards.

Fallout 4 without mods is a 7/10 game. With mods the only 10/10 game for the last decade.

Point being Fallout 4 was built for a certain audience and machine specs. So will MechWarrior 5. Being a single player game anything is possible though. I do mean anything.

Music, sound, mesh, texture, ui customization and upgrades. Entire new game features may come with DLC or mods. Specs that will melt most computers or consoles are possible. For VR or what ever.

More negative drama seriously? Your not even trying to make sense.

Personal attacks and character assassination is pathetic. Have some self respect.

If I am negative it is because Russ made me so. If you seriously for one second think that people have not left this game because of his actions and words then you are as delusional as you are optimistic.

I have plenty of self respect, it's why I can see truth and call it for what it is. The only person assassinating Russ' character is Russ and he doesn't need my help to do it.

IFthey can pull it off I will gladly retract my words, but they are a long, long way from that point. All the hype, which is what that article is, read very similarly to the hype that surrounded MWO in the early days before closed beta. What we have in MWO does not match that hype, not even remotely. I got burned by the hype, but at least I learn from my mistakes, the same can't be said of PGI.

Anyway MW 5 looks like its going to be epic. Really.

How many features from the new Battletech game will make it in is a question. Modding support another.

I was thinking about the old game Silent service II
I thought the game was bogged down by having to do everything instead
of just conning the ship and firing the torpedoes

also in real like I was part of the long logistical tail that supported the pilots
and we took care of a lot of small things that made the jets fly
that way the pilot could focus on piloting

my fav game of all time TF1942 had you start and protect supply convoys so it had some logistics
but it did not get into how many bombs/bullets/toilet paper that might be on the supply ships

I never thought about console type FPS games but good points

Maybe some left because of over hyped drama. The typical over hyped negative drama some push on so many games.

Fallout 4 is being review bombed at this very moment over fictional drama. The game that made 260 million more than the next highest earning game on launch day.

Anyone pays attention to this drama is daft.

As for your second point on if MechWarrior 5 will deliver, that remains to be seen. Pre reviewing it is weak and rather uncool.

If your a Star Citizen or Ubisoft or EA troll then LOL. My guess is EA troll. Shouldn't really lump Ubisoft in there because I think they are still trying and may actually produce a good game some day, but I always do anyway. :)

This may sound harsh to some of the moderators but tame compared to the quotes I am responding to.

Unreal.

So what far Periphery planet have you been on these past five years?

The part that doesn't get upset over fictional drama(Aka the hate train)

The only question I have about all the drama queens being negative about this game or MW5 is how many other games they are being negative about.

Yeah, look at what happened to Mass Effect Andromeda.

Posted Image

Alpha or Beta version on the left, Delivery version on the right.

And ultimately Bioware and EA completely abandoned the game after just one quarter of a year.

There are literally TRILLIONS of ways that PGI could completely and utterly screw up everything about MW5 and turn it into a disaster of Andromeda styled proportions.

There is no way they can turn it into a ME: Andromeda scale disaster. Its just impossible. :)

I should really say he or she is one of the top 3 modders for the Fallout series. Basically pros.

You mean Bethesda/Zenimax releasing paid mods, then removing them due to consumer backlash, then releasing them again but not calling them paid mods, yet being surprised at the same backlash for the same problem?

So I take it that you weren't around during the dark days of 2013-2014 when MWO almost died because of PGI deception and incompetence? And remind me again why we now have simple 2-bucket 'Faction Warfare' instead of a much richer multi-faceted "Community Warfare?"

And I also guess you haven't seen the more recent townhall in which Russ called the MWO community "cheapskates."

So will there be $500 gold mechs in MW5?

I will probably buy MW5. I'll buy it at release if it remains single player, but if they add multiplayer (like HBS did with BT, hence the delays), then I'll wait for a Steam sale.

Seriously? Going to jump on every stray word?

Been around since closed beta seen the negative drama go after pr employees and everyone else. Always surprised anyone takes it at all seriously.

I see the use of character assassination and negative drama as desperation and it is.
