Doesn't matter as long as mercs have their own reward tree to climb.

Only time it would matter if if they have up the benefits of being mercs for the shackles of Loyalty.

Well PGI just got the SALT shaker out, took off the lid and emptied it out.

An explanation of how they are planning to run these faction specific events would have been nice. I dont here many people saying "this is great", all I see is SALT being thrown about.

Being loyalist is actually one of the worst things to be in MWO based on PGI logik, so there are so many big Merc units and very few loyalists.

I'm gonna play as my standard Wolf clanner self.. and If I manage to get the full 12 drops done, will switch to my merc account and sign with Kurita..

Don't think I'll have time to do that though, since I'll be away for the whole weekend..

Loyalist sure should get some moar rewards.

Like unlimited access to faction decals,camo, items, colours etc. gained on certain levels of loyality that stays as long as you stay loyal (if you brake loyality, any mech having these will loose them next time you go to its "camo spec" or "cockpit items" panel.

Loyalists should also get some bonuses to money/xp earned, like 5% for each rank above certain rank. Currently, there is no point of going loyal unless you already got all merc rewards.

I haven't running a contract at the moment. Can I join a faction now und get those faction rewards like the decal, warhorn and the other stuff if I join Kurita or Smoke Jaguar as a loyalist now?

Or give you a 'mech with a faction-specific customized pattern labelled with an (F). Like, CPLT-K2(F). Give you a choice between Light, Medium, Heavy, and Assault, but eventually be able to get all four eventually, if you grind long enough. Maybe even a 30% C-Bill Bonus.
