Kinda thin on info / content

Sure we will discover more when patch notes are released, but the roadmap for Oct doesnt show much.

Thoughts?

I doubt anything major. Mechs will be released, the Assassin and Wolfhound will be nerfed, maybe a fix (Or fix attempt) for the Event Viewer.

I really hope they fix the in game event tab, it's been working fine for me since day one, but I've seen time and time again people posting that its not working for them. Which makes me sad.

Also, ahem PGI? Could ya'll get octobers patch notes up in a timely manner this month? Last month was, well...... last minute? That would be sweet!

Kthxbye, gotta go assault other peoples pixels with my op highmount pixels now. :)

Edit: Escalation mechs and new tourney support warhorns come out on the 17th of this month. My guess is we get the patch notes a day or two before. *fingers crossed*

More nerfs for IS and Clan mechs, a balance pass on lasers, followed by event on lasers.

Night star will be pre-nerfed because it is super OP IS mech and we can't have that.

I doubt either of those mechs will get the nerf bat. I don’t see anything wrong with them. Anyway I’m pretty sure PGI already made a lot off the Arctic Wolf that they’ll won’t bother with the nerfs.

With the way things go around here, that puts them right on the chopping block.

Well considering this is PGI and they decided to nerf the Dragon and the Wolfhound already you make an excellent point.

As much as i like the Maus, the E-100 packs a bigger punch with that 15cm L/38.

That and PGI seems to have major issues whenever any light mechs start to become useful. the assasin and wolfhound are just abotu the ONLY 2 IS lights that are worth running (yeah assasin is a med but for all intents and purposes its a light), so they have to get shafted sooner or later to keep the new releases OP. That and while i might not speak for everyone, ive found assasin and wolfhounds to be some of the hardest things to kill if the pilot shields properly since the hitboxes spread damage stupidly well compared to many other mechs in the weight class like the jenner, cicada, viper, ect. Combination of insanely good hitboxes and their popularity in the game (i see between 1-3 of the assasin/wolfhound every game) is a guarantee for some sort of nerf.

It's almost half month and there has been no word for a new patch. Thought they were going to get us distracted with the events and other matters.

With or without new mechs, is the game going to be better after that ?

Nerfing mechs, sure that helps a lot !

I still hold a deep grudge about what was done to the MadCat... Posted Image Not to mention the Kodiak !

And great, after the Dragon was re-nerfed it went back to the junk-pile of unused mechs...

Nnnnnngh! Nerfing the Assassin, I can understand. But the Wolfhound? Its in a good spot right now. Tanky as it should be, hot and non jj capable to balance it out. What kind of insane dartboard nerf will they get?

Was everyone piloting the same mech ever an option? This is what an unbalanced game would do.

All balance complaints other than pointing out easy mode problems now put to rest.

The 5 MPL wolfhound has great heat efficiency, especially if you use the variant that has -10% energy heat.

Fundamental issue with the wolfhound is that given its speed and hitboxes it doesnt need durability quirks at all. I mean, look at the wolfhound, then look at the cougar...the wolfhound is small and thin, the cougar is wide and fat.
