Sure we will discover more when patch notes are released, but the roadmap for Oct doesnt show much.
Thoughts?

Also, ahem PGI? Could ya'll get octobers patch notes up in a timely manner this month? Last month was, well...... last minute? That would be sweet!
Kthxbye, gotta go assault other peoples pixels with my op highmount pixels now.
Edit: Escalation mechs and new tourney support warhorns come out on the 17th of this month. My guess is we get the patch notes a day or two before. *fingers crossed*

Night star will be pre-nerfed because it is super OP IS mech and we can't have that.

I doubt either of those mechs will get the nerf bat. I don’t see anything wrong with them. Anyway I’m pretty sure PGI already made a lot off the Arctic Wolf that they’ll won’t bother with the nerfs.

That and PGI seems to have major issues whenever any light mechs start to become useful. the assasin and wolfhound are just abotu the ONLY 2 IS lights that are worth running (yeah assasin is a med but for all intents and purposes its a light), so they have to get shafted sooner or later to keep the new releases OP. That and while i might not speak for everyone, ive found assasin and wolfhounds to be some of the hardest things to kill if the pilot shields properly since the hitboxes spread damage stupidly well compared to many other mechs in the weight class like the jenner, cicada, viper, ect. Combination of insanely good hitboxes and their popularity in the game (i see between 1-3 of the assasin/wolfhound every game) is a guarantee for some sort of nerf.

With or without new mechs, is the game going to be better after that ?
Nerfing mechs, sure that helps a lot !
I still hold a deep grudge about what was done to the MadCat... Not to mention the Kodiak !
And great, after the Dragon was re-nerfed it went back to the junk-pile of unused mechs...

Was everyone piloting the same mech ever an option? This is what an unbalanced game would do.
All balance complaints other than pointing out easy mode problems now put to rest.

The 5 MPL wolfhound has great heat efficiency, especially if you use the variant that has -10% energy heat.
Fundamental issue with the wolfhound is that given its speed and hitboxes it doesnt need durability quirks at all. I mean, look at the wolfhound, then look at the cougar...the wolfhound is small and thin, the cougar is wide and fat.
