Can't wait for this mech! This could possibly be the premier 40 Tonner for Clans. Love playing my Huntsman with JJ and Streak/ATM pop tarting (Light TAG ftw). Similar play style and room for different builds. That said there seems to be the least amount of buzz behind this mech of the 4 coming out Tuesday. It's also smaller/shorter than I thought it would be, which is nice.

ECM Omnipods that aren't locked away as a 1 time purchase until it goes on sale for Cbills + JJ Omnipods that are the same deal. Battlemech versions behind reinforcement/hero pack but I went all in on this one to get them all. PGI did well with how they decided to keep the Omnimech version as just a standard pack.

It does look like the winner of this pack. Pretty good in game, fairly attractive all around, no glaring faults.

Threads like these are exactly why PGI concludes their balance passes are well received and nothing is wrong with customer sastifaction.

What balance are you talking about? This mechs design and its loadouts (with the exception of Omni P and the hero) are straight from the TT. PGI is being nothing but faithful with bringing it into MWO.

Can't blame PGI for this one. Now if you're on about their changes to weapons and cooldowns, this is not the thread for that.

Im talking about the upcoming balance patch that is very poorly received.

See, everytime someone starts salivating at a new mechpack, PGI thinks they are doing nothing wrong. This is how we end up with the DRG-1C nerf and other dumb stuff.

Its like complaining about (example) Nike, Apple or whoever using child labour....then going "omg that new product is amazing! take all my money!!!". All you are doing is telling them "keep using child labour because im going to keep buying your stuff".

The Awooolf is the Clan Assassin+1.

Of course, we're going to see people trying all kinds of missiles, and ATMs will be interesting (but LRMs less so, hello mass-5 builds). But I see a plethora of splatwolfs on the horizon.

I'm just waiting for the point at which Clan robots replace IS ones in every sense of the word.

Then, perhaps we can dispense with the foolish idea of "1 ton of IS robot = 1 ton of Clan robot".

Nah, the Arctic Wolf has better hitboxes(i suppose) but is way slower. Its more of a Clan-Griffin.

At least the reinforcement variants can equip a 365 engine, which is more than enough to get to Jenner speeds.
For reference the Viper gets to standard light mech speed of about 140 kph with it's 320 engine. So it should be possible with the Wolf to mimic a splat Jenner-IIC with a bit more punch and better survivability but without JJ.
