I'll probably pick up the battlemech versions later. Those seem to have massive potential.

I would lose the JJs for extra heatsinks when doing 6 MPL or 6 ERML.

Smurfy seems to be interpreting all of the Battlemech Arctic Wolves as Omnimechs, causing stuff like weapons to not display (no Omnipods equipped) and no ability to switch stuff like Ferro.

Not just you. Seems the Battlemech/Omnimech thing Is giving Smurfy's interface fits.

From what i've seen, it's mostly an Assassin... But better.

Given the same amount of firepower, the Assassin will last longer. But the Awoooolf will dish out more damage while it's on the field in the same rangebands.

It certainly looks like it is until you see one with LRMs. Then it’s just sad people actually put LRMs on the thing.

I struggle a bit with the Omni versions due to them being fragile, 40 tons and only 97km. The Battle Mech versions are better for me because the speed is up to 130km with a half decent weapon load. It is fairly fragile and the arms tend to fall of quickly. It is different to the Assasin but I wouldn't say it is better. It is more a matter of player preference for firepower or agility and durability.
At this point I prefer the Viper-C to the Wolf but it is very early days yet. I still have to settle into builds and learn to pilot it.
The hero was a good buy.

That seems like a big sidenote. I feel like that would put you in a lot of trouble vs the already existing meta brawlers. I mean MadIICs can do 80.
You’ll be surprised. Take a 55ton BSW and just circle around for a bit while you still can. Just need to get the jump on them.

That's why I replaced the the missile omnipod in the ACW-P with the ACW-Prime pod. Gives me 3 jumpjets to improve movement and give some poptart ability. I currently have ECM, 2 CLL, 2 ERSL, and 2 ERMSL as my loadout with all the heatsinks.
The Omnimech's speed with its armor just leaves it in a fire support role rather than a light hunter or missle bomber. Nothing can really fix that so you have to work around it. Being a laser sniper or even a PPC sniper just might be its ticket. Going all in on missiles in the Omnimech is going to be a bit dicey with it's armor and speed. The other option is to be a spotter for LRM/ATM mechs.
The battlemech versions can fix the speed issue and still bring the pain, although those are stuck with the set hardpoints and no JJ's.
