How does it work? Is it active at all? What kind of rewards can I expect for helping out in wars? How in depth is it?

Wrong section to ask. There's Faction Play board you can post in.
It's not active all the time. Might want to find out when peak hours are and find a group to drop with. The C-bill rewards seem big, but the time spent waiting for match to fill and the match itself is less than if you hopped into Quick Play repeatedly. Also you'll be playing with and against premade groups.
You have a 4 mech drop deck. Drop in with your selected mech, when it is destroyed, you drop with the next until you've lost all four or the match is win.
