being unable to climb the embankment isn't a bug...its poor piloting.

Man, it's really hard to tell if you're toying with me or being serious.
Thought the video was self explanatory. Well, guess explaining it a bit won't hurt. Either way, here's what's going on:
1. I take assassin. No jumpjets. Maybe it would work with other mechs as well.
2. I speed up and run into aforementioned embankment.
3. It "locks" me in. My mech is slowly sliding along that embankment. Turning and torso twisting does nothing.
4. While mech slides two things are going on: a) its speed is decreasing, b.) fall speed is increasing. When speed falls down to 16 kph, it "unlocks" me. By that time fall speed reaches -260. Mech slams into the ground getting that sweet fall dmg. An unskilled mech can sustain up to 4-5% dmg by that fall.

These embankments on river are pretty bad regarding fluid movement and positioning for this map. Especially without jjs. More often than not people have to walk all the way around along the ship to the next gap where you can re- enter ground level / exit water. The little movement restrictions that add up forever. Like the roots and stuff on viridian were before thinning out a bit, or the destructible railings on the mining ground level you get caught in. Or the caldera rubble an caustic. We are so used to that bad finetuning of the maps. But this invisible underwater airport treadmill is clearly a bug to me Posted Image .

Why a devs would bother to code that in is beyond me... Its a bug..

I ran (pun unintended) into the same issue last night with those embankments at H6 and it nearly ate the legs off my Ice Ferret. :(
