I stumbled accross the awesome music Per Kiilstofte - Battle Of Kings and thought that would be a nice score music for an MWO match. So I searched through my recorded matches and edited a suitable one to roughly match the music.

I think it turned out quite well, so I wanted to share it and see what others think.

Without further ado:

So, did this thread just drown so fast or is really no one interested in commenting?

Would gladly take a look, but I'm at work, where I can't have sound on.. so.. sorry.. But I'm sure it's awesome..

I always wanted to sink a MWO drop to "Let the bodies hit the floor" ;-)

That soundtrack actually does work really well with MWO but honestly im not a big fan of the overly epic orchestral scores. More of a fan of really electronic / futuristic sounds in games but thats just my opinion.
(Undertale - Spiders Dance anyone?)

Ive scored higher in light mechs, and I am not an elite player. MadCat II is probably the best mech in the game.

Pretty good scroe considering the laser nerfs.

The OP did not brag about the score but used an arbitrary recorded/archived game thats matches the length of the track. Typically you dont keep bad match recordings just like you dont keep screenshots showing that you did 50 dmg in a KDK-3 when it was still op. (If you are disconnected when the match starts and there is a fast light on the other team ... sh|t happens)

lol to people not getting the context of 'score' in the topic. It's about the musical score, not the mech score.

The music is good - honestly though it just makes me sad, I wish MWO was epic enough to warrant a good dramatic orchestral piece. The editing and pacing is good though.

If I ever give IS another go in CW/FW/FP, I will have to set it to this...

Interesting build. I usually run the 9xMPL build in my MAD-IIC and have lots of fun. But I didn't realize the GH penalty was so modest for 3 CERLL (wait, I didn't say that, PGI might nerf). Certainly makes for a more useful build in the long range game that is so prevalent today. I might have to give it a shot.

Ahhh, score! Of course. I had my mind set so into the music matching thing that I didn't think about the match score meaning and the potential bragging implications. I'll fix it.

Thanks for feedback =).

Just Avidemux and Audacity. Quite basic.

its a nice track, but i'd still prefer something more 'bassy'
The choir kinda kills it for me, where i'd like to hear more bangin drums, but that's what the scores up for. Would go a treat on a naval setting i think.

Some tracks i've enjoyed mixing with video were:

Pelican: Ataraxia/Taraxis (Track1, track2)
Laserhawk: Redline (for the MASC vids ;P)
Doom3 intro performed by Tweaker

These songs generally have a very defined 'drop', and even if you loop from the mech-drop, the feature generally coincides with first contact. Unfortunately, with Pelican, i can't find a copy with a smooth transition from track1-track2. Even on my purchased CD there's about a -0.2ms on the transition which feels like they've just done a dodgy edit and lost the last bit of track1, always jarrs me Posted Image.

Whatever you enjoy really? I can really get behind classical / symphony but if i want me some ASMR i need a strong percussion and brass section.

Great vid.

I'm actually kind of an audiophile.
IF you liked that, then you should check out tommy tallarico's advent rising sound track.
Bounty Hunter is my favorite.

Every other song in the sound track makes for great, climatic, mech smashing music.

If I could, I would set every pug match's ambient music to this.
xD

Yeah, those epic orchestral scores tracks are always on the verge of being cheesy. Especially with a choir.
It's not my favorite track, I just thought it could work nicely with a suitable MWO match.
IMHO, the end with the capping score (there is that word again ... ^^) race after the dramatic laser vomit slaughter part tends to be even more thrilling ("unclench butts" Posted Image).
I do like it and I think the choir is just below being cheesy, but that's highly subjective, of course.

Thanks for the feedback :-).
