Hi there,
I have issues with the skill tree of a few of my Mechs. It says there are 'nodes used that do not have effect on my currrent loadout'. I have checked it a few times and I cannot find the respective node. Here are the screens:

can anyone confirm?

SUGGESTION:
introduce a feature that shows wich nodes are unused!

Hi, these are the things i found:

In the survival tree you have the skill node "AMS Overload 1" activated but no AMS equipped.
In the auxiliary tree you have the node "Adv. Salvos 1" activated, which will also give you the message that you are using nodes that does not effect your loadout, if you don't have arty- or airstrikes equipped.

Try to change "AMS Overload 1" to "Shock Absorbance 1" if you don't use AMS (but activate Shock Absorbance first and then deactivate AMS Overload or the skill tree will annoy you) and equip an arty- or airstrike for test purposes and your proplems should be solved. Posted Image

PS: Im confused why you have this yellow warning sign in your mobility tree. The nodes should only effect things you can't influence and it doesn't show up in my mechlab, even when i remove the engine? Posted Image

The yellow triangles in the skilltree will allways be there, if something doesn't fit your mech. The warning when saving shouldn't be there when you correct the things the post above me stated.

Empty consumable slots can also trigger the Warning.

Hi guys,
thanks a lot. I have an arty on him but I did not relize the AMS node. must be skilltree blindness...
I will change that and see whart happens.

Maybe your mobility skill tree is buggy?

probably, I'll try the repair tool later.
But I think now it is obvious that this has nothing to do with a wrong build. I am pretty sure It must be something in the skiltree code.

What about coolshot, do you have one equipped? Cannot tell since consumables are not showing.

coolshot is equipped.
I have meanwhile found the warning sign on completely unskilled Mechs, so at this point I can go:

Bug confirmed!

The warning signs directly in the skilltree are normal. If you got no JJ or ECM in your mech, the tree tells you. I thought you got a warning when saving your loaudout. THAT tells you that you skilled something that has no effect on your mech.

I got this every time I focused on cool boosts and did not equip a UAV because you are forced to choose either an arty/air or uav skill to advance in the tree.

It is still very annoying to see that warning. I can only imagine how a newer player might be left wondering wtf is going on.

It looks like that Mech in particular, and the “Nodes used that do not have effect on your current load out” are probably the torso twist nodes, in the Mobility section. Being that it is an Urbanmech.
