For example you take off a side torso which still had an arm attached, or you take off a torso from the rear, does the remaining armour points from the front or in the arm get added to damage dealt? Cuz sometimes I do alot of damage when I think I didn't, and every time this happens I also destroyed many components.

I know that ammo explosion adds to your damage, but I am not sure about arm adding to damage dealt when the ST falls. Should be relatively easy for people to test it in private matches though.

I'm pretty sure it does, yes. It makes kill stealing securing that much more profitable.

See below.

Nah, it doesn't.

Is that more of a hitreg problem we're having right now, or it's possible that there really wasn't much armour left in the components you took off?

Either way I'm just as puzzled as some youtubers who upload their vids, where they too are surprised by how much damage they do when their match summary comes up.

I'm even more surprised that your match summary with such dismal results gave you a = pilot skill rating change...

Yes it does. The guy above is wrong. I just tested this in the private lobby. Did 58 damage to shoot a naked side torso off a warhawk and got 176 damage.

screenshot for whatever good that does.

It has for as long as I remember

Perhaps they adjusted it with the most recent patch (see Strike damage also bug out), but your screen disproves that.

Thanks for that! Good to know one way to get damage scores up: aim side torsos.
