Title says it all...I mean why not? and the heat from firing those AC20's all at once should be 60-80% heat bar instead of shut down

In fairness, I think that's 1 of the things he wanted. To have more crit space in arms for it

Thing is, GH timer is 0.5 seconds and chainfiring 4 AC/20s equally would be 1 second between shells... so 4 AC/20 is actually a viable dakka build. I expect to see this once crit-splitting becomes a thing, and then AC/20s and/or Annihilator will be nerfed because of it.

When MLX was a joke and I loved to QP with it I always wanted to mount Double Gauss + ERPPC.

You guys shouldn't have anything to fear if you just stay 450m+ away from the annihilator...it's not like it's going to hurt you with all that super close range weaponry when you are out of range...not to mention the annihilator is super slow, so why not go ahead and give it power!

Yeah, and my Direstar should fire 11 PPCs without shutting down. Posted Image

Which is why its Apocryphal, because it breaks the construction rules (with IS tech, with clam tech it can do it).

MCII with the same alpha at longer ranges laughs in the background.

Only clans can have such things. IS mechs must be worse otherwise the clanners will whine their mechs arent more powerfull

More importantly - why not? We should be able to choose to remove actuators on all IS mechs just like we can on clan mechs.

There are a few IS mechs that could mount AC20 in the arms if only they could choose to remove the actuator

Because you can't remove actuators on clan mechs.

You can remove actuators on omnimechs.

The solution you're looking for is crit splitting, and I have no idea why PGI didn't foresee it being a consideration.

As long as construction rules allow for it, yes you should be able to.
