With that high torso weapon mounts+ECM, I don't think it will get any armor/structure-quirks lol.

edit: forgot jump jets LUL.

eh, it MIGHT get a few small ones. but yeah, overall, Thanny really only looks like it's vulnerable mostly from the rear, given directly facing it means you're going to get beaten the crap out of, and it's thin from the sides. honestly, a torso twist speed quirk would make it more tanky than any structure or armor ones, just being able to get that rear arc out of a flanker's line of fire.

Looks like it going to be bigger then I thought it would be. Still not going to be hard to work around.
This must be taller then the Cataphract is it?

So the size comparison came out...

This mech will be definitely the worst heavy mech you can ever buy.

I mean are you surprised? This is what volumetric scaling gets you.

I just hope those shoulders have +20 armor.

We had those same hopes for the pre-release Uziel too.

PGI, with this recent surplus of mechs with second knee joints / digi-legs, it may be time to STOP using the generic copy/pasted humanoid animations and to Actually... Animate... The... Additional... Leg... Joint.

Uller,, Arctic Wolf, Crab, etc. all have an extra joint that does not move and it looks...atrocious due to how awkward they are in trying to move without using those joints. The lazy approach to animation really draws some concerns about the quality control and what we might expect to see from your other upcoming titles, too.

This thing will need massive armor/structure quirks to be worth anything at all. I'm wondering how the timber is smaller in every respect.

Timber is smaller because of it's torso shape.

Oh come on, that's one's obvious. It's a clan mech.

well the height of those mounts makes up for the height of the mech compared to each there ^

Not sure about the hit boxes myself but the hard points look good. I know we are going to see allot of Gauss and PPC sniper builds. The 5S with duel Gauss and stealth armor is going to get allot of hate.

Liking the overall distinct look and model. Just strange sizing when comparing to the Timberwolf indeed, that just doesn't look right.

Also against the Orion, its much fatter in body and volume yet the same size?

Selfquote from general to get more attention to size issue.

Yeah. It looks kinda bigger than if should. Look, the same height as Orion, but wider frontally AND wider from the side. This means it has to be slightly smaller in all dimensions.

And the legs have more volume too because of triple joint.

Now I am worried.

With the blockiness of the entire mech it should be more compact than ANY of the compared mechs. And its not. I really hope the armor and structure get buffed, because there is only so much ECM can do for it.
On a side note: The Timber Wolf is freakishly compact from any angle (amd the tacked on shoulder launchers are optional).

They did very well with the Huntsman animation... which is why all following digitigrades having some horrible animation is extremely confusing. At the least, they could have lifted and slightly modified the animation from that, right?

Pay attention to this comment if you ordered Thanny. It will be pretty one dimensional.
