I am of the opinion that the map rotation for Scouting is rather limited. I would like to see more maps with more aggressive terrain, akin to Canyon Network. Something that would give people a reason to run smaller, lighter mechs with jump-jets. It would be nice if there were a way to make it so that smaller mechs were more viable, rather than the current "Ton-up, we're going for a brawl" style.

Would also be good because then the idiot that brings his MLX to a Scouting-brawl won't be so detrimental to the team. Someone that brings a different type of mech can simply play a more hit-and-run style, using the terrain to their advantage. Would also introduce more "strategic" play, like if there were a light vs. light fight, and a light could also try to squirrel the enemy light into the friendly brawlers, or something similar. You may see teams that try for the 4-man skirmishing-squirrels, or some might stick to the 4-man brawler setup, or any mixup between.

I just want to see more thought go into a scouting match, rather than people bringing their heaviest, hardest-hitting mechs and doing the 4-man-murderball, or risk losing the match if someone brings a lighter mech because they "can't afford another", or are new and simply don't have the optimal mechs for brawling while scouting.
