I could swear it feels like that. Cant think of anything else that would explain it... It goes from being like rambo where you are almost invincible and others no matter how hard I try its pointless... You just cant get past 300-400 damage. Your mech is made of paper mache everything registers against you but nothing against the enemy. They just wont drop.
Past few matches last couple of days Ive been playing the same and my mech just melts. I play the same always nothing it different on my end feels like wtf is going on..
The only thing Ive done recently is pre ordered a piranha pack...

I've been complaining about this for a long time. I've simply assumed these were "bugged" matches. Its like your teams weapons arent doing any damage even though visually you see enemy mechs taking damage yet their dolls arent reflecting the amount of damage being applied. Then you look at within the first 3 minutes of the match, you've lost like 5 mechs and most of the team barely did 100-200 damage while your opponents are like average 300+.

Matches like this, 5 minutes...

Given how much DPS some laservomit puts out, a tic or two less on a burn can mean the difference between heavily scorched and a burnt-out location. And the bigger the vomit, the more difference even a fractional second off-target means.

Plus, some players just plain ignore range as long as the crosshairs are red. This can turn a core out into a slow ticklefest.

Judging by the spread of damage numbers, I'd say your bigger mechs got overrun by the wolfpack and then you got rolled once their own big guns got into the fight. Your side probably started stagnant while theirs had momentum from the word "go."

Just like C-UAC don't jam if you hold the mouse down. More holes than Swiss cheese, but alas the culture here (some of it out of necessity anymore) is without blatant irrefutable evidence aka vid recording, you'll just get trundled by those that like to dispute.
Do I think that there some really weird issues with hitreg? Absolutely
Am I going to use my 750 GB of Ssd which is mostly full of games to record? Probably not.

For those of you that haven't seen Tarogato's vid demonstrating Cuac jamming whilst holding down the button and not double tapping I highly recommend it. How is this and hitreg related? Two words - quality control. If you don't have something that is put together very well, chances are that there are a couple of other "issues".

Can't deny hitreg can by wonky but I don't think it's as bad as everyone claims.. every time I've recorded a video of what I thought was hitreg BS turned out that in the heat of the moment the crosshair wasn't where I thought it was, or I didn't hold the full laser duration, or a projectile went through the gap between an arm and a torso because of wide convergence on something like a king crab

Oh thank god someone posted this.

I too, have felt like this, to the point that it has become EXTREMELY predictable for me: Any day I get two headshots, suddenly no 'mech I face will have a cockpit hitbox for the rest of the night. The next day, two headshots, and then the cockpit hitbox is again turned off.

This has been a repeatable experience for the past 18-24 months...

Then there are the days I'd swear Paul or Russ have flipped the "F'you Dimento Graven!" button and I might was load up solitaire or Sudoku instead...

lol I like spider solitaire

ran a test this AM and after 10 matches I avg 6.5 min in battle

Ran a test last week--I bought 8 ton IS TC

I did more damage without the 8 ton TC with the same weapons lol

maybe run some tests
if you have all those bang zoom nodes seems to me you should be doing better
not worse

PGI asked for videos of it happening, so they could investigate and fix, and received a goose egg. People become skeptical, when there are those who claim it happens nearly every match, meaning it should be easy to record, yet none of them can seem to find the time. There's always an excuse for why it can't be done.

Where is this Targato vid? That'd be the first I've heard of it being documented.
