It seems that someone went ahead and made directed energy weapons illegal for use in war. No fair. That means we can't use a laser cannon to zap some poor slob sitting around in the hatch of his tank and turn him into ash. Apparently that would be cruel.

What treaty did this? Sounds a lot less cruel than our current methods of tank killing.

Plasma and EMP weapons have been declared illigal for some time now due to their disruptive mass destruction capabilitys.
Also crippling NLWs that could render you deaf or blind (like scatter lasers or concussion pulse lasers) are banned.

as if this really cares in case of war, but I guess nukes aren't that bad right?
