So I bought a King Crab and I'm thrilled with it's high hardpoints and I got to wondering if it had a variant with a ballistic mount in the torso, naturally I get to the KGC-KJ, and of course I want it. So if I'm going to spend some MC I usually jump into the pool and look for a pack to pickup some premium time and other goodies, but I can't seem to find the KGC in any pack at all whatsoever. Does it have a collectors pack I'm not seeing? I could just wait until an MC deal inevitably comes up later this year and just pick it up individually I guess.

The KJ is a special Hero mech. It must be purchased in the Resistance Hero section of the website.

Its also worst variant imo.

Having 2 ballistics in torso prevents you from getting anything bigger than 2 rac5 which also forces you to take std.

Kaiju is already available for MC, and yeah, no KGC pack it seems.

I found that part, hard to believe it's just one mech 25$ and a standing item. Is there any consistency to when a KGC bundle might arrive? I don't know how new it is.

No part of that sounds worst variant to me, though it's a bit off topic.

I already like jamming MRM 70 in the other torso, might as well jam 2xRAC5 in the other.

When you compare it to lets say kgc 000b, 4 uac5 and 3 medlas
or
kgc 0000 2 uac10, 2lpl.
Even if youll want to go into mrms, kgc000 have better quirks for that.

Nope. No KGC Mastery pack or pack purchaseable to my knowledge. Which does make me sad as its my personal favorite mech. But thats ok, I'm only missing the Kaiju and the loyalty varient out of all of the KGCs avaliable.

The King Crabs were released as part of the original Loyalty Rewards program. Every now and again you still see a KGC-000(L), AS7-S(L), or CN9-AH(L) running around. They had custom Norn/Angel paintjobs unique to the Loyalty variants (as well as a 30% c-bill earnings boost, like a hero mech). This was the very first appearance of the King Crab in MWO. The other KGC variants (the 000B and the 0000) were made available for MC at the same time (IIRC), and c-bills a months or two later. I'm not sure when the Champion 000B(C) came out, and the Kaiju is from this past year.

Always was a shame you could never get that paint scheme anywhere else, or trade mechs to get one, but I suppose that would be defeating the purpose. As it was, the Loyalty King Crab was always the smexiest one to wear that scheme.

Hmmm, yeah the King Crab is the last non pre-order pack 'Mech isn't it? Now that we have a hero unsure why they don't want to offer a Mastery Bundle, oh wait the fact it would damage Resistance Hero cash sales...

King crab is my fave IS mech too. KJ is not too bad , although that UAC gave me enough problems to drop it for an lbx 5 .

I too spent time trying to find a bundle . At least I know why now . That's a sweet loyalty King Crab .

they dont exist, no idea why actually since even the atlas has a mastery bundle.

Even if I'm a terrible KGC pilot, it is a 100 tons of fun!
