He decided to join the darkside because he had a vision in the future where his wife (padme) will die after giving birth to his children. The sith lord told convinced anakin to join the dark side to prevent or bring her back from death. Yoda warned him the fear of losing your lost ones is the path to the dark side. He must accept padme's death and let go.

If the Jedi did adhere to the gitgud mentality and did not bring LURMs, they'd have suceeded.

When did the Jedi use LRMs?
I saw SSRM2 used by Jedi, and rockets used by the clones but not LRMs, besides Jedi favored Small lasers far more than missiles for ship to ship combat and hand held large and medium lasers for mele combat

He hate sand.

Hate leads to the dark side.
He was born in a desert
Everything that reminds him of home and loved ones also reminds him of sand.
His mother dies in sand. Hate multiplier x10
beaches of other planets are covered in sand.
Hate is everywhere and cannot escape it.

Needs an escape, needs to destroy all worlds with sand and live in a clean sandless space station. - invent political arguments like "need to obtaining unlimited power to save everyone" as a smokescreen to hide his feelings about sand to not seem like a total loser

Need to run with the arguments now, cannot turn back.
Sith is the only option - Darth vader is born.

Padme died because Anikin Broke her heart, when he went to the dark side to try to save her from his vision..... make it a self fulling profiacy

I believe it had to do with the following:

1) Palpatine placed a vision/dream into his mind. The Sith are known to do that often. Or so I believe.

2) Palpatine promised him power to revive those that died. Not true, though.

3) He could never control his anger, his anxiety, or his feelings. Plus, he never listened to the Jedi, or Obi-Wan, who did what he could to train Anakin properly. Mostly, cause Obi-Wan was too busy with waging a war, or investigating an attempt on Padme's life, etc. Which distracted Kenobi. To make up for this, Kenobi watched over and cared for Luke until he reached the age to train him.

And a host of other things. . . .All combined, led to his downfall, and his love for Padme did him in as well.

That was censored out of the movies, but they must have - because everyone know when you bring LURMs, you lose. Jedis lost big time. Then Darth Vader himself decided to bring LURMs just for teh lulz (censored out of the movies again) and that way Luke was able to beat him silly.
