I agree with the OP on Frozen but not on Plexus. While there are strategies that can help teams win from either side on both maps, to get a QP team to act together is challenging at the best of times. If you assume a random chance of getting teams that will coordinate, the team that gets a spawn that requires the least coordination for a strong strategy has the highest chance of winning.
This is the case with Frozen. One team starts in a death ball and charges forward while the other is spread-out with their heaviest mechs at the far side of the valley.
I don't think this is the case with Plexus. In this case, the more aggressive team will more likely win from either side, if the opposing team turtles. I would agree that the side defending the G7 side has some small disadvantages due to steeper slopes and more cluttered fields-of-fire however they shouldn't be on the defensive since they are out of the circle and can't get fire on mechs in the circle anyway.
