This is not a regular list of the things you like about warrior, this is only for COMPLETELY original/niche things that has not seen the light of day, until now.

I will start.

-I love the way you can squirm left and right in the drop ship at the start of a match. If you have a fast mech and you hold left or right as well as forward as you hit the ground you take of crazy like a yoyo

- I love walking at ramming speed toward an enemy, no funcks given attitude, smacking them with a kill shot alpha the INSTANT before you would collide with them (with SRMS, LBX AC20 etc non burst only) and phasing through their yet to hit the ground corpse like a boss since clipping is removed the instant they die.

teamkilling

but only when its an "accident"

nobody likes it when teammates walk in front of you and block your shots. but its really satistfying when they get shot in the back or lose an arm and you hear them cry about it.

I also really enjoy knocking down trees, light posts, etc.... Theres just something satisfying about knocking down dozens of trees like theyre nothing. I wish the game had more destructibles in it. like destroyable buildings, destroyable terrain, etc...

thats how I play during events. just hold down fire and walk at an enemy and kill them. then quit after I die.

you still qualify for the event usually and can maximize how many matches you play per hour lol.

its why a lot of people get mad during events because people play sloppily to finish the events.

The sounds, some ambient ones like the beast on the bog but also the slight changes in the weapons even. Actually feel immersed and can even use it to tell what may be shooting at me.

I like watching people shoot dirt and get confused when more than 1 person is shooting them.

Dumping a bunch of votes into maps or modes that people end up disliking in the match and then announcing that i was the cause when someone complains.

My most recent experience was dumping x5 into escort (ended up with 51%) with [redacted] spouting off in VoIP that everyone should teamkill me for picking escort and that he would not report anyone for doing so. We ended up winning that match fairly quick and we were up on kills as well.

You know who you are, if you're going to act like a jerk then expect to receive the same treatment in return and don't act surprised.

That utterly magical moment when the physics engine burps and sends a 'Mech you've killed spinning through the air...

*edit: Close runner up- the day New River City released. The first thing I did was drop into Testing Grounds and drive straight over to the citadel to stomp all over those blasted statues.

Jumping into near orbit in a few select mechs (Viper, Shadowcat, Cicada, Spider) and not immediately dying when you hit the ground. Getting to the citadel from the airport on River exclusively by jumping from roof top to roof top.

The three or four spots on Canyon where your mech’s passage actually causes boulders to roll down and the sun “glare” on Caustic at dusk. It really makes me squint. That stuff is about as close to an immersive experience as I have had in this game.

Getting behind the red team’s LRMers on Polar in a wolfpack of Commandos or Cheetahs

Getting on top of the Wall of Shame (Vitric Forge) in a Victor or Cataphract and that moment of inaction by the enemy Shadowcat (its nearly always a Shadowcat) before they flee. Its almost like a thought bubble appears over them on your screen saying “WTF?”

Any come from behind victory in incursion.

A good match in a bad mech.

Those sublime matches where for some reason you get ignored and then make the enemy pay.

Sparky and the Jester (dibs on band name).

I love the design of the catapult both the external mech and it's cockpit. It's ugly pile of boxes compared to other mechs but I love it.

I also like how tanky the missile catapults are when you choose to not use missiles putting those boxes as 40 hit torso shields then end up getting shot down to 15% or less every thing red ct,missing ears,yellow/orange legs a small fart away from death yet still surviving the match.

I also love pulling out mechs hardly seen on the battelfield then having some one type 'oh bleep it's a mech x!' in chat. like seeing the cada x5 or founder jenner d.

Guilty pleasure of mine is taking out the unicorns once in awhile as well, the Awesome Pretty Baby and Commando Death's Knell (both owned since release). I mean lets be honest, when was the last time you saw a TDK over the past few months?

Reassigning weapon groups mid-combat after half your weapons have been destroyed.

When you're the last 'mech standing and break LOS with nothing but your internals holding you together, cool off, hit override then stride forth and keep firing till somebody dies.

I saw the Bog beast once and was like "somethings alive here".

Cant find it again though. I thought perhaps another mech had knocked a bug dead body over. Still not sure if there is a live bug in bog or not?

Hope its there....waiting to eat the ejected mech pilots!

I like making my crab claws open and close.

Also like when I stealth up behind somebody and shoot them once.....watch them look around and face forward again....then shot them again. They look sooo confused cause they cant see me and they get all twitchy and paranoid looking everywhere. Then shoot them again and they give up and reposition.

going in, leading the charge.

it's what we urbie-officers are good at and enjoy. ;)

I don't get mad.....I just don't bother playing during events unless it is in group drops.

Waving at fellow mechs.
360 degrees rotation.
Occasionally falling through the world.
Epic rag doll deaths.
K9 sirens.
