Nope, there's no way to gift MC. Might be worth mentioning on twitter to Russ.
Closest thing we have to gifting MC is buying a steam wallet/paysafe card and gifting that to someone so they can then buy MC for themselves. It's also worth mentioning that steam wallet is for MC-only.
