I've seen used ones go for 75-300 USD on EBAY. Not sure if they sell though. I do know they are quite rare and I doubt I could bring myself to sell mine.

don't know but I bet if you had a scanner set up and a 3d printer you could make some money

all you need these days is a good camera. look up visualSFM tutorials on youtube, its easy and doesnt require you buy anything either. it takes a lot of cpu time though. you pretty much take hundreds of photos of an object under soft light from every possible angle, and you put them trough some software and you get a textured 3d model of the object in question. you can use it in games or print out a model. they got 3d printers now that can print textured models.
