How does it make sense to increase the duration on Med lasers so it takes longer than a large laser.
PGI I am not sure who came up with this idea and why you all went yeah that's it, but this needs to be fixed and balanced properly. If you want some ideas, I have a thought, listen to the original backers, and not the new steam players.

IMO medium lasers are still good just by the nature of the weapon. It's supposed to be the most efficient damage per ton weapon there is, however I do think the cooldown timer is a bit overboard. it would be nice to lower ER mediums down to where regular mediums stand, the heat penalty imo is enough of a trade off. The lasers that are hurting the most are the small pulses, innersphere pulse lasers have gone from okay-ish brawling weapons to near useless. Most people I've discussed with have totally abandoned the clan small pulses for heavy or regular smalls. Mechs like the Cheetah and Nova are neutered, Nova arms had their armor removed, all the weapons are in the arms! It went from a good mech to laughable. Politely, please give us back our 4 damage innersphere small pulses. As for clan smalls I think a good middle ground would be 5 damage rather than the previous 6.
