Otherwise I'm just creating a thread for others to share their happy purchases during this recent amazing BF/CM sale! maybe it's a hero mech with MC from the Trick or Treat event, or you bought MC or mech bays or a mech pack.

I'll start, and will hide them in a spoiler tag so others don't think this is just a boasting post.

I confess that I bought a Bushwacker pack. And the reinforcement pack to get the P1.

Addiction is hard. Even when you know that the pusher is going to kick you in the teeth after forking over the cash for the hit, you still can’t help but to line up for that fix.

I was going to finally buy an Assassin and Javelin too, but somehow found the strength to fight off the urge. I think knowing how bad all three are going to be inevitably nerfed helped bolster my resistance (plus, being nearly out of GSP helped too). At least I will have a month or so with the Bushies before PGI hammers them into oblivion.

Nothing

Mostly because I already own most of everything I want. Hoping for a nice 'mech announcement tomorrow and I'll be picking up the Nova Cat once I hear the animations are suitably fixed. There are some Resistance Hero 'mechs I still want (Florentine, Partisan, Ghillie, Mjölnir), but I'll wait for MC release. Will likely pick up an Ultimate Pack for the Annihilator once it's on sale, just to get my C-Bill boost IS cockpit items

[Edit] Well, didn't notice the MC release of the Resistance Heroes changed. So I bought 4 of those in the sale, heh. [/Edit]

I wanted the Artic Wolf Blood Kit hero because of the ballistic mounts

so I bought a standard Artic Wolf pack and a hero
the hero is fun and it looks cool

bought a few Mech bays and Catapharct Ilya Muromets which I regret buying already

I did not realize I would not like it
you see my CTF-3D(C) is just as good and it has a jump jet and more armor

Also nothing and for the same reason as Jay:

I would have money to spend on MWO, but I see no reason to spend it.
I have all Mechs that interest me.
What little I care about camos, color and Heroes I can cover with the tons of free MC that are thrown at me.
I think all cockpit decorations are an immersion-killing cancer and should be removed. Especially warhorns.
I am not d*mb enough to spend real money on ingame gambling (AKA supply caches).
So what should I spend money on?
CBs and MCs are piling up and up and that's it.

PGI has nice graphical artists for Mechs and Maps, but they lack in actual game mechanical development.
A self-obsoleting business model of selling redundant reskins over and over gets you only so far before customers reach saturation.

Well, just this BF, I bought the 100$ MC pack, and with that and the MC I had bought from the days before (those that gave you a hero), I bought every hero I had missing. Long list to make, but all Clan I heroes, all resistance heroes, and the hero versions of the Huntsman, Supernova, Assassin and roughneck.

Then on CM I upgraded my regular Night Gyr pack to collectors, and bought the Supernova collectors pack.

And still undecided on buying the Huntsman, Linebacker, Bushwaker or Roughneck collectors pack.

Default is the "L" key, IIRC.

It's listed as "Cockpit Item Toggle" or something like that.

Partisan and a couple decals. I'm not usually a fan of Black Knights, but in theory there's a lot of flexibility granted by the ballistic/missile left arm and complement of energy hardpoints. Plus they did a nice job with the camo scheme.

Well, I guess value is in he eyes of the beholder Asym .

Ended up unlocking the infinite reuse snowfall for the Huntsman, given I own enough of them it starts to make sense. Especially with it on sale. I also snagged the Medusa so I could rip its arms off and stick it on another Viper. So much free MC these past few events, made it a freebie grabbag event if I so wanted it.

Pakheet and Scorch. Scorch is pretty darned good, digging the high missile mounts for spraying people poking their heads above hills, the arms are slung a wee bit low, but not as obnoxiously as the Atlas's. It's nimble enough to not need any points in the engine tree, which is great too. Pakheet I have not played enough yet, but the Huntsman chassis seems to have everything that made the Shadow Hawk excellent.

I was rocking with the Ilya for a while, before the Clans were introduced. The ONE thing it has going is the 3 ballistic hardpoints. You may want to try a 3xLBX10 build.

I bought a Sleipnir and a Scorch with MCs. Dual Heavy Gauss on the Sleipnir. Dual cLBX20 + 4xcSRM6 on the Scorch. Fun!

Just car accident (car totalled, I'm fine and I was the only one in it, narrowly avoided someone that would have t-boned me as he/she/they brisked through the red light and in accelerating to avoid him I couldn't finish my turn quickly enough to get into the last lane and as such I crushed the tire axel on a concrete draining alcove roughly a foot or less high) followed by thousand dollar deductible, paying the remaining 350-ish balance on the car to pay it off after what Geico gave me for its "value", renting a car for a month out of pocket (easily another thousand there) paying a few months rent (around 930 per month) before putting down another hefty down payment on a new car and the other common things of life as a parent.

Opted to miss out on the BF/CM deals this year.

If I were to have gone for something, probably would have done the Crab-tier on Resistance II (I like unique geometry) or the Kaiju (King Crab Hero) or either of the Resistance Heavy heroes, any Clan hero, Osiris, Uziel, Cougar, Thanatos or Hellspawn.

Is it weird that I like the Hellspawn?

Stuff like that can wait for cbills though.
