Hi guys

I am accumulating some supply caches and thanks to the Advent event some MC to buy keys. With the rumored changes to the cache system are people opening them or waiting? I dont have so many MC that i can throw them around

I opened some and sold some.
I have won 1 item that I wanted out of around a dozen or so caches, even from ones which only contained 2 items I definitely didn't want Posted Image

I would keep them and wait for changes to them unless you're hard up for C-Bills.

Don't buy keys unless you're opening a cache with blue-tier MC (and very few other blue-tier items). Wait for an event that rewards them.

I haven't opened a single cache, and don't plan to. With the free MC from events it's technically free to do so, but the MC can be used to supplement bought MC to buy mechs, so in that sense MC is never free. I don't like to spend money on dicerolls when I don't know the odds.

I would not open them and rather wait for details on how the chaches will change. The chances to pull something good are very slim anyway, so they are mostly cheaper MC -> cbill converters compared to the MC-packages.

If you happen to have some free keys left from events, keep them. Chances are high that they get refunded for MCs like they did with consumables when the skill tree got introduced.

For instance i accumulated 78 keys from events before PGI stopped giving them. In case of a refund that would be some solid 1950 MC. And if they don't get refunded you can still open your chaches in case you don't like the changes PGI will make. There is no reason to open them now unless maybe you in dire need for cbills. But even then i would probably gamble on the key refund and just sell the caches.

But as said the best you can do is to wait for now and see what happens. Posted Image

If you are in dire need of Jump Jets and C.A.S.E, open all of them...!

I sell them.
I've seen them as the same as Nexon's supply crates -- which sometimes gave cool stuff but it is very uncommon -- and as I see EA's Loot Boxes.

As an f2p game it is sort of expected, but I'm not one for the lottery. For the MC I might spend on keys trying to get something I want that appears in the boxes time and time again I can just buy the thing I actually want...probably twice.

Just my opinion. Selling them gives me that much extra cbills to use on the things that matter, too.

Wait for the supposed Early (Mid?) December sale. Just in case.

I tend to disagree. The current event yields a total of 1200 MC and the free stuff on 27th give 1250 for almost no effort. That's 2450MC just in december not counting future events like stocking stuffer lootbags.

Going back in time Kills for bills was 1000 MC and Trick or Treat 3 lootbags contained a nice amount too though randomized. On average you can count on 1000+ MC each month. That's more than enough if you save and spend 'em well, for example on hero mechs during a 50% sale.

Haha sorry I posted that before the 27th December reward announcement. :)
