I like the changeup but domination not so much.

i agree this modes are ******** right now, i like FP and have no option to pick the game mode, quick play is ****.
I downloaded and ONLINE PvP GAME, if i want to shoot static objects i play some single player game.

lol, so many people who want to shoot mechs, they have a target range in the academy. you can blow up mechs to your hearts content there. your gonna have to defend your objectives though if you wanna play in the public que like a big boy.

this thread is an example why FP/CW will never work

to much crying
the first day of CW a Mech jumped up on omega and started blasting it
I thought what a great idea we will have to watch for that next time

people started crying until they put a cover over omega gen

since then its been like a dog chasing its tail with PGI being the dog
and they seem to finally given up

This is really ironic, because when people hit the gens on Siege maps (the original objective mode) you complain then as well.
Maybe you should have been more specific about what you actually want, which is a wall of pugs to shield you from the scary baddies so you can snipe them with long range meta builds and farm damage.

Maybe you should campaign for PGI to create a VIP mode where the entire team has to protect just you whilst you kill things. Im sure you would still complain about your own team even then.

The only truly broken FP mode is skirmish, there is no way to end lopsided matches so spawn camping is the only alternative when winning big. There should always be objective based win conditions.

The other modes are ok, the best one is clearly Conquest.

FW conquest is probably the only game mode in MWO where playing the objective often matters more than kills, best mode in the game IMO.

only one i do not like is incursion mode. **** game mode. Conquest is fine, assault is fine, Get Rubliette into the game mode and 1 or 2 other new maps and I will be happy.

Incursion and Conquest modes are the only game modes that are based on objectives. If anything QP game modes should be taken out (Domination, Assualt, Skirmish) for their simplicity in gameplay objectives. If faction play is suppose to give greater gameplay situations incursion and conquest need to stay in, along with siege.

Conquest and incursion could be lots of fun. Dumbination could be just stupid and shitmish often plays just the same as ASSault anyway.

Not digging this new faction play quickplay with respawn thingy.

No, spawn camping is OK now during Events. You can farm the new players in CW so long as you fight. They do not necessarily need to be able to fight back just so you don't dunk the mode.

We have to look out for the new player in CW during these Events. So, fight them, do not slam dunk the map, farm them to 48.

Yeah, effin crybabies who cant shoot a spider hiding behind the damn generator. You see, theres a spot behind the generator where you can hide and shoot the fcker and at the same time be covered from enemy fire. Impossible to stop gen destruction. WE WANT THAT BACK!

there is a spot on emerald taiga where you can hit the omega gen from fairly good cover

we used to be able to hit turrets with missiles (that is the most recent change if I am correct)

used to hit mobile gen from center gate on Sulfurous Rift

can still open the Boreal vault gate with LRMs

you can also open Boreal Vault gate gen with PPCs without taking damage

get on the high ground behind Omega on Hellebore with more then 2 jump jet Mechs and you can almost always get Omega down

I can go on and on

most of the changes to eliminate tactics did not enhanced game play it was all just catering to
someone crying

No, Its totally ******** that you can win a match without committing to battle and you couldnt be stopped if you hid in that fox hole. It was one of the good improvements to CW I've seen that they blocked that possibility.

I really dont care if you can open the gates from cover. Thats just good.

No one should care if LRMs dont kill turrets in CW KEK. Turrets are endgame content and lrms have no place in there.. ;P

And if defenders let the enemy shoot the omega on hellebore from around defenders spawns, where anyone can go with jets and kill them, they had it coming.

I wish they made system with rewards for different play type and maps, so it will be worthy to play anything at some point of time

PGI seems to have added quickplay maps to FP to compensate for lack of any actual content.

I would love to go back to just invasion maps for FP. I see enough of the QP maps in QP anyway.
