I'm currently in tier 2, and the gameplay is so bad, so very bad. I can only imagine what it'll be like when I get to tier 1, the game is already close to unplayable.

Please move me down a couple tiers, gameplay was better down there.

Have you dropped in lower tiers? Its not any better down there...its just easier to club people...like really easy.
It i think its perception.

Actually you meant to say that it's too difficult to play the higher tiers. It could be your gameplay is not up to snuff.

Time to make a new toon. With the rule of three gone, you can buy any one of some of the best mechs available, and fully customize it, with your cadet bonuses.

Which is exactly what they wanted.

I personally noticed no difference between tier 3, 2, and 1. I don't know what to make of people who suddenly start complaining how much worse tier 1 or 2 is than tier 3 when you have been literally participating in tier 1 matches the whole time. I mean ****, tier 2 just means you aren't fighting tier 5s anymore.

I loved tier 5 and 4. I'd stay there if I could. I'm with the OP on this one... There should be a potato tier where the "I'm a killer mech pilot" and the "comp" crew can't go....

Where the rest of us can have a lot of fun screwing around and laughing at each others mistakes !!!

I think that's the point. I'm a t3 on a good day and my reward for sticking with this game since 2011 is getting xp barred into t1 where a fun challenge for "real" t1 players become hard work for me. Not really much fun.

Have you considered trying mechs other than a shadowcat? lol

No, I meant to say that the gameplay sucks. People have no sense of placement, complete tunnelvision so they're completely unable to capitalize on any openings or mistakes from the enemy, and almost every single game is a stomp one way or the other.
"Too difficult to play the higher tiers", way to inflate your own ego.
As someone else pointed out, you get to tier 1 through playing the game for a long time, and most people have played the game for a long time now, meaning the upper tiers are filled with people who just arent very good and are just doing the same thing they do every match with no sense of tactics or awareness of their surroundings.
The people in the lower tiers are mostly new players, eager to play and not stuck in their failing ways.

Yeah, I'm seriously considering making a new account.

I don't want a potato tier, I want a competitive tier where you can expect that your teammates know how to play and aren't complete cowards.

May be perception... But my perception is that since they said they were tightening the tiers for the matchmaker, the quality of gameplay has gone down the drain.

I don't know why you're afraid of Tier 1, just a bunch of bads doing stupid things with stupid builds every match. Not that different from Tier 5.

The only thing that I've noticed as I climb tiers is the higher you get the more meta you see....so the matches do get boring with mechs being ripped in half from a hit or two Posted Image

As someone who has recently rejoined the game since leaving long before their were tiers I have to comment that since getting into Tier 2 I have noticed a significant increase in stomp matches. I understand the OP's sentiment that he wants to "compete" with other people who want to "compete" but you can't ever expect that in a 24-man PUG match.

Join a group for group queue.. get some competitive matches.. get a team for Faction Play.. don't expect something out of public play that simply can't happen. :)

Actually stock 400 is good enough. 5.5 tons for UAC10 and 4.5 tons for UAC5 (or adjust it according to the player's habit.)

It is not just OP alone. Zuul also said playing this game at lower tier is far more bearable than higher tier, which I think I can understand.

And any "seal sanctuary" would be immediate infested with clubbers looking for a large pool of easy meat. The only reason it isn't so much in T4-5 is because the PSR system rapidly shoves them back into the big boy pool.

There are competitive tiers... If their gameplay sucks, well, I guess you can drop with us potatoes and cowards.... It is kinda of interesting that since I am a Tier 2, I seem to play an awful lot of matches with the "killers" and such out there and you know what, they sure do hide behind a lot of buildings and cover.... Not cowards lad:.....tey're not willing to risk because there isn't any real rewards to do so and no one really cares anymore. Oy Vey, what a mess.....

BC, you are correct Sir ! We eat our own and, ultimately, that will cause us to lose the essance of what MWO was as PGI drives towards what MWO will be.... Some will stay; some will leave but change, is inevitable.

yeah its not even fair dude, t3-5 is stupid. I got curious, and first game in, in a Night Gyre, a mech i don't even have on my main account, a mech that I freaking HATE. I pulled 1k; 3 kills...just standing still... like literally a turret.

Though Dual gauss 2ERML and HLL was fun. Didn't know the mech could carry that amount of EFF You punch. Holy crap.
