And return to the days of the PUG zapper caldera? No. Not only no, but hell no.

*shivers* hahaha, yes, the old TT had the most predictable gameplay of all maps i guess.

But that could be solved by putting, at least, the mission objectives everywhere, but the caldera.
And for skirmish: make it ulrahot inside that vulcano, as if you are standing right in lava even on top of the metalring.

The caldera was already the hottest spot on the map and with the exception of Domination and one single capture point in conquest that could be safely ignored the objectives were not in the caldera. This did not stop people from insisiting upon fighting there every match every game mode for no other reason than it was the center of the map.

PGI should rotate only old maps for a week-long "old map nostalgia" event. It would be fun

No, sry.

That map was a center-circle fest in 99% of matches, team that got there first, won.

Dont want that. I like the new one.

The old TT map was fantastic for Domination. The best fights worthy of the game mode name involved one team desperately trying to prevent the other team from getting back in after kicking them out, and the latter desperately trying to get back in and try to kick the other side out.

That was true only for the defeatists. See above.

please dont

but please do fix forest colony because it suffers the same issue old terra therma used to with everyone getting funneled to one grid square.

you need to open forest colony up way more in the center. and add more cover on the water side. that way players have more options of where to go on the map.

It was a great hidden king of the hill mechanic and nimble mechs had their absolute important role to flank and distract the king while the fatties camped the castle gate. I liked those matches they felt like sieges and i miss them.

What PGI should really do is to ditch map and game mode voting once and for all and start defining map-game mode pairs and select them randomly for drops. As I said previously, a Domination drop in old TT was a fantastic combination that is sorely being missed.

I miss that map, specially in conquest mode.

I like the Mordor remake too.

So, why not both?

As you said everyone knew where to go to play so it became booooooooooooring.
As far i know it is not possible to have the old maps back something to do with coding ????

Speaking of the old TT and Conquest, one of the best games to be had is to trap the enemy inside the caldera. There are just too many players too afraid of getting their Mech's paint scratched that it actually works most of the time. <maniacal Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image>

They won't. Just as they enjoyed turning frozen city into garbage, they won't come to terms with their ideas of improvements being crap.

Other than the one bad choke point the new is better.

While I'm not opposed to it's return, as well as its replacement staying, because it would add another map.

It's a pointless expense, because it will never get voted into play.

There are big area's on the lower side that are no go area's to pretty much anyone but a face light because it's flat and open, which need cover..

why not both? I liked old terra, I like the new one. they both have their areas where stuff happens and which are dead. And since the new one looks so much different we definately could have both.

bring back the good old caldera, I miss mordor.

They need to bring back all of the old ones while keeping the new ones. If they really intend to have 8v8 again those old maps would be better served there while some of these other maps would be better 12v12. Personally, I really miss old Frozen City Day/Night(Night really was a beautiful), and old Forest Colony(both versions) a lot.

I loved that map -- not only the ring but the "corridor" paths. Perfect combination of length, abruptness, open spaces and sharp corners. Map art is charred rock but topographically, Terra Therma's the game's most interesting city map.
