So....I have recently had some major issues with frame rates. I have a FX6300 with a Radeon 7770 graphics card and have been running this game for about 2.5 years on custom settings (mainly low) and getting 30-40 fps average. I am running windows 7, and have no other issues with any other game at this time.

Just MWO.

I have no heat issues, and my fans are working well, at the proper speeds. I am not overclocked and have no graphic acceleration software running.

I have dropped to 20 fps, and during fights down to 4-8 fps, and it's only been since the recent patch. Any idea what is up? I know I am not the only person having issues with this, multiple people have reported a drop of 10-20 fps in the last week or two.

There has been various reasons for FPS drop. Most are running Windows 10, got the Creator update and drivers were furbar. For some that meant rolling back to older drivers but that likely will not last long unless the user disabled Windows 10 ability to update drivers.

Though I was paid well Posted Image I just finished working on 3 systems that the above occurred in one form or another. GPU and sound driver BS and Creator update snafu.

Have you made any major changes to your system/setup this month? Just had a player who had plugged his monitor into the wrong GPU connector, so he was actually playing via his CPU's built-in GPU instead of the standalone.. Just checking...

You said you have no heat issues. Does this mean you have actually opened up the case and made sure all the heatsinks were clear of dust buildup?

And AMD did release a new AMD chipset driver on 12/13/17. Was it installed either by your or Windows update (check update history)?

When did you update the drivers last, and have you actually uninstalled and installed a much older one?

Have you run the Repair Tool?

Have you made any changes or double check the GPU settings outside the game?

Control Panel, Power Options, set to High Performance.
