https://postimages.org/
http://www.imagebam.com
http://tinypic.com/
https://imgur.com/
https://imgbb.com/

All the ones I tried thus far.

I'd paste one in, get an error 'the extension can't be used' after each one.

What is causing the image site bans? Why are certain ones not allowed?

Do they eat up too much traffic? Do they violate some rule I've never seen?

I got one to work but I don't want to share which one worked so it too doesn't end up on the list of ones you can't use.

imgur works. You have to link the image itself, not the website. Right click the image after you've uploaded, and open in new tab. The image link should start with i

I use imgur all the time and it works fine for me.

Just use the image button and copy in a direct link

This one uses the default BBCode link from imgur.

What is the extension on your image? I've used PNGs, BMPs, and JPEGs without problems.

You need to use the 'direct link' options to the images rather than their silly embedded PHP embedded urls.

Use BBCode option for Imgur. It works.

you know the link needs to contain the extention like.jpg otherwise you just use a link of a wbesite and not a picture itself. see

How does this work with something like the BB code link from smurphy? I've always just added a hyperlink.

I ran into this issue one time. Was doing things exactly the same way I always do, but was getting your error message. Logged out and back in, and it worked.

yeah imgur works just fine, it's the only thing i use. As already said, just hit the image button and put in the direct link.

For gifs you'll want the original gif link. Posted Image

I noticed that the site doesn't images posted from wikipedia directly if you try to use the image feature. Not really sure why. I know postimage works since that's what I used to upload some of my mech miniatures recently.

I am using Imgur now, when I tried it it didn't work but I had already tried others so maybe the box was bugged out.

Why doesn't MWO forums allow the coded link with the web address?
