If I were to put IS art on a Clan mech, how much would people judge me? Will I get much flack? I like my MAD2C but there are really nice IS emblems....

but yes, in the novels quite a few IS pilots ended up in Clan Mechs.

and no, I would not judge you if you put IS decals on Clan Mechs

There are some (very few though. clan tech is completely incompatible to IS tech in 3062-67 after all) IS Mech pilots piloting Clan mechs. Either Mechs that have been taken as official isorla together with spare parts and stuff or their machienes are gifts from Clans either friedly to these persons or that chaged side to inner sphere like the preserver faction of clan wolf did and later the Novacats did.
So Clan Machienes with IS insignia are not unheared of but extremely rare in this time.
