Not exactly new, but back after a loooong break.

The mech i enjoy the most is my Arctic Cheetah. When i get tired of flanking and running i take a madcat or a stalker out.

But i cant build any gooddrop decks i think, so, which mechs should i try to get?

On clan i own:
3 AC Variants
2 MadCats

On IS:
2 Raven
1 Centurion
2 Stalkers

I know its not much, I remember selling off some to buy others... Perhaps i shouldnt have ^^.

So, where to go now? Any good advice?

Generally not, unless you totally HATE the given chassis. But what's done is done.

For your IS account, I'd probably suggest building a drop deck of three heavies optimized for brawl with the Centurion as your fourth (personally using MAD-3R, CTF-0XP, WHM-7S. HBK-4SP; your mileage may vary - rule of thumb is that you want mechs and builds that you can reliably do 400+ damage - ideally more than that - with in Quick Play by direct combat rather than kiting).

You can probably use the Cent for scouting, although you'll want to pick up a Bushwacker (P1, P2, X2 are decent) and a Griffin 2N at some point.

Typically fun mechs I can think of:

HBR, MAD, MAD-IIC, BSW, WHM, HBK or the IIC.

HBR is very user friendly though. With ECM as well.

Marauders, Warhammers and Bushwackers are great for IS :)

I'm cheating by using the Battle of Tharkad stats

For IS;
Warhammer WHM-6R or WHM-6D
Assassin ASN-21
BattleMaster BLR-1G
Marauder MAD-3R
Mauler MAL-MX-90
Jagermech JM6-DD
Grasshopper GHR-5H or GHR-5P
Catapult CPLT-K2
Thunderbolt TDR-5SS

For IS Scouting;
Bushwacker BSW-P1
Griffin GRF-2N
Assassin ASN-21

For Clan;
Hellbringer HBR-Prime or HBR-F
Mist Lynx MLX-G
Ebon Jaguar EBJ-A or EBJ-B
Hunchback IIC HBK-IIC-A
Linebacker LBK-Prime
Mad Dog MDD-Prime or MDD-A
Stormcrow SCR-Prime
Marauder IIC MAD-IIC or MAD-IIC-D
Timber Wolf TBR-Prime
Kit Fox KFX-G (2017 Rewards variant, maybe the KFX-C or KFX-S instead)

For Clan Scouting;
Huntsman HMN-Prime or HMN-P
Hunchback IIC HBK-IIC, HBK-IIC-A or HBK-IIC-B
Nova NVA-Prime or NVA-S

For IS Siege mode, I've had the most luck with heavy mechs, particularly Warhammers and Marauders. You can get 3x WHM or 3x MAD plus a light or medium (preferably with ECM) as tonnage permits. You might get flak for not bringing a beefy assault mech, but... oh well.

Right now, I think Bushwackers are the way to go in IS Scouting. I know others prefer the P1 (6 missile) or S2 (4 missile) because they crank out splat damage, which yields a better match score. I prefer BSWs that can mount a matching pair of AC10s in the side torsos (X1, X2, P2, HR) for that cool-running, pinpoint damage.

EDIT: I don't have much to say about Clans, because I rarely play them. Huntsmen were pretty effective though, as were Novas and Hunchback IICs.

I hesitate to say this in public, but given the dominance of BSWs at Tharkad, I kind of hope PGI tries reintroducing the Stormcrow to Scouting to see if the playing field is now a bit more level. If it's a steaming pile of failure, then remove them again.
