I am trying to build a Bushwacker streak mech to dominate scouting games. I saw one guy doing 800+ damage in one (but I did not see the build at all bc I did not die).

So far I got this

It's a bit slow, and I do not do well with it. It might be my play-style though. (never used streak before). Bassically I play like a SRM boat, except I chain-linked all the streak (to avoid ghost heat) and keep firing a constant stream of 4 missiles until the heat catch up.

Any advice on the build and on the playstyle?

Ditch TAG, trade for BAP. TAG is a soft counter to ECM in which you still must deal with the 25% reduction to your lock on speed, which TAG negates using a +25% lockon speed.... but the millisecond you drop your laser from the enemy ECM is the millisecond you lose your lock. BAP doesn't have this problem, it is a hard counter.

Trade two Streaks (preferably the arm ones) for 2 SRM-4s.
This way you can still spam the enemies... and have some precision firepower when you need it.

Take this Archer for example with 2 SRM-2 and many LRMs. Watch when lights rush me at multipel times throughout.

Just 2 SRM-2s providing me with precision firepower to where I want, when I need it, without relying too much on the RNG of something like Streaks. So carry 2 SRMs in addition to your streaks. Artemis would go a long way, too.

That gives you sustained DPS, but your burst damage sucks. If you have any spare mouse buttons, put additional chain groups on them. This way you can regulate how many SRMs are you firing at a time (I tend to stick with 2 launchers). Alternatively, use two groups of 3 streaks each (since the ghost heat cap on them is 3)

You can run with 4 SRM6 in the torsos with a light engine to keep your speed up (over 80 KPH if not more). Take BAP for the reasons above. You only need 400 ammo, plus the skill trees eventually - but 400 will give you the damage you need for the 250 match scores.

6xSRM4 is preferable due to faster refire rate (4s on SRM6, 3s on SRM4). With the same amount of tubes, you get 30% more DPS.

run 6 streak 4's. I have multiple games over 1K in scouting in it. My average score last event was well over 400 per match, probably closer to 600 per match once I got the hang of it. Chain fire them, and have teammates bring the same loadout. Focus fire, the shake and annoyance factor alone makes it better than burst fire.

@Koniving: In my opinion BAP has not been must have streak equipment for a very long time. TAG damage and TAG kills are what add points towards the 250 matchscore needed in this event.

Counter ECM ability is provided well enough if you are trapped at close range by a UAV.

But if you loose your arm (if they are using lots of streaks too like this event) you loose a portion of your firepower. Just my preference personally :)

Yeah, but you've dealt 30% more damage until that point, which is huge.
