With that amount of ammo I can get a little careless with aiming and even take shots outside of optimal range. The er large is so I can do something peeking like if people are just hanging around and stuff. The er small is so I can fire when I'm at 97% heat if I want to for some reason.

The reason for changing it from 6 ac2 is because I didn't want to have to load a macro program any more to use it. Cost about 2.5m to change it over.

Saving up for the mad dog 2 atm 12 3 er mlas 1 tag baradul build after this.

No it's not. I've seen over 9000 on machine guns

May I suggest swapping those two lasers out for a Snub-nose PPC?

Thats what, 87 shots with nodes?

There's bring pot shot ammo, and theres wasting tonnage.

It's a little higher 112 but I like having all that ammo and the heat management even on tourmaline (as you can see) wasn't bad. Not even sure what else I'd use it for. Already pretty much maxed on armor. Never cared much for missiles either.

Bit low on the max range and effective range though. Never really used ppcs much either. I like the laser being able to just hitscan stuff. Paint everything a little for some kill assist goodness. Also hurt lights a little.

5 tons even without skills is enough AC20 ammo.

12 ½ tons of ammo? Asking for an ammo explosion (CASE only protects the explosion from spreading to other components).

so with 7 and ½ tons that you can get rid of + the ½ ton ERSL you can very well stick in another ERLL (not something i'd do personally, i'd go with 2 snubs) and a few heatsinks. Then you can rip out both CASEs and free up a ton for something like a TC1 or Rocket 15.

Took out 3 tons of ammo and put in 2 emergency rocket launcher 20's. Should be funny. If it's not, straight back to ammo.

There's a forum for mech builds, this isn't it, but before posting a build you really should ask the question...is this something nobody has tried yet. I posted about my six LB2 annihilator build a couple days ago and saw it being used by someone in their faction deck this afternoon. All three KCG variants that are for cbills come stock with dual AC/20s. All you've done is changed the secondary weapons and the engine and removed the FF armor to increase the ammo. .

The 000 lends itself to multiple smaller ACs over a pair of 20s anyway. Switch to a 325 LFE engine, upgrade to DHS, install 3 in the engine, add Endo steel. Then replace all the weapons with 6 AC/2s w/ 7 tons of ammo, 2 ERML and 2 LRM5s w/1.5 tons of ammo. Add half a ton of armor. Done. Firing all three AC/2s together is 6 damage every 0.684 seconds as opposed to each AC/20 every 3.4 seconds, at more than twice the range, for only 1.8 heat. Best of all, there's no ghost heat with any number of AC/2s... unlike the penalty you incur if you fire the AC/20s too close together.

That's in the Training Grounds->New Player Help->Battlemechs section. I think that's more for asking for advice building. I'm posting results of play.

well...then you're not posting any results people don't see every day with a KCG. And no...its not just for asking for advice building in that section. There's four sub forums for posting actual builds.

Only thing I really like for tabletop is D&D 3.5...
