Cast your votes!

these 2 mechs are sacred to the Draconis Combine, so take your pick and let the poll decide!

I'd take an Owens more than a Raptor but a Raptor is still good. (anything from the DC iis)
Mechassault's Owens is the perfect example of what could go into MWO because it doesn't have a lower body in TT.

If PGI would do something ambitious like megaquirk the hell out of the Owens or just make a non-canon Owens Mk. II that had upgraded equipment, I'd vote for it.

But since that won't happen, I have to vote for the Raptor purely because it has potential right out of the box instead of depending on the whims of our Balancing Overlord™.

I'm assuming you mean the SHS i'm sure PGI will change the SHS to DHS just to balance it because they've given Omnis an ability to modify armor values, so it shouldn't hurt to give it DHS.

The Owens also lacks Endo and FF, and has too many hardwired items. It needs to be rebuilt from scratch, hence my desire for an Owens Mk. II.

The only good hardwired thing about the Owens is the XL280. That's a fine engine for a 35-ton gundam. The rest needs to be purged though.

They could also just unlock omnis and make it very expensive to upgrade those systems. Also their likely going to have to make ISXL's be able to handle the lose of a side torso or to many IS Omni's will be DOA. Example Templar.

Expensive to change means almost nothing. Especially considering how space rich some players are.

I could see them unlocking the locked BAP, etc. That's been done before.

The Raptor still offers better HPs and hitboxes even if Fup's proposed MK2 version were made. Plus there's only one IS 25 tonner so it makes more sense to expand that slot over the slot that has the most chassis (35t)

Well, if the Mk2 did even get made it would likely have more hardpoints than the Mk1 because of having way more open pod space. Probably still wouldn't match the up to 11 lasers of the Raptor, but really the only thing you can do with that is boat crappy IS Small Lasers.

I dunno about hitboxes, the Raptor looks like its arms probably wouldn't take much damage while the Owens' arms would probably take some hits meant for the torso.

I cannot fathom why the Owens would even be considered. No Endo/Ferro, Single heatsinks, locked BAP and TAG.

Even beyond all of that, the omnipods are completely trash, no matter how you combine variants.

No it hasn't. MLX still has it's locked CAP. The only Hardlocked gear they've unlocked is the Adder's Flamer and the Warhawk's TC.

The Warhawk's TC isn't hardwired. The record sheet for the base Warhawk config does not have a TC of any kind.

It CAN'T be hardwired because in Tabletop it changes in tonnage and slots based on your loadout.

I thought it was but oh well. The only thing they seem to be willing to unlock are Hardlocked weapons.

LRM4? HAX!

EDIT: Apparently there is in fact an LRM4 in BT, but only Battle Armor can equip it.
