Inner Sphere so I have buy it, but not my first choice. More classic 3025 Mechs for MechWarrior 5 please Posted Image

This is the sort of attitude that needs to stop.

For goodness sake please stop supporting PGI's treatment of IS mechs until they balance the tech base.

It can't do quad LBX since the ballistic mounts are not spread out on both the torsi and the arms. Best it can do is either quad UAC5, or a pair of H/Gauss.

I mean it's got 2 ballistic in each side torso ya? If I can cram it into a Sleipner then this thing should fit it with a standard engine.

Ah yes, with Std engine, it is definitely doable, though it will be slow.

Speed means less in FP in my honest opinion. QP is a diffrent story, with all the nascar and such

Ooh boy, January will be expensive for me. In world of warships, they are gonna release the Italian battleship "Roma", and now they announched the Frikking FAFNIR!

Found also, another buld for my second FNR-5
KGC-000B

A bit basic, but doable.

Big mech, big guns. Slow as hell, but you don't want to face it alone. Like the annihilator.

Using an annhilator as a stand in I was able to spec one out to all the ammo I need and a 315 engine so only 10 under its cap.

I mean you aint wrong about it being slow but frankly the loadout isn't its upper limiting factor for that.

Just looked at the images for the Fafnir and there is a possible, POSSIBLE, way the Hitboxes may not be as bad as I or likely others think.

If the ST is where I and what sounds like many think it is, Only the rectangular center being CT and everything else except the arms being ST, then yeah its got Massive STs. Now if you look at the Hero paint job some of the armor panels on top are blue. What if anything that is on the Inside edge of the barrels, So those top armor panels and then the silver like support arms and the wings at the bottom of the barrels are all CT.

This would mean really only the barrels up to the armor actuators are ST and the rest is CT. Yes the thing is still as broad as a barn but the STs wouldnt be as bad as many are thinking.

If its a Standard 300 its not missing out on much because of the 325 engine cap, checked its a 4 KPH difference in a 300 vs 325 and the 325 is 5 tons heavier. Also with the ECM and it having a head mounted energy I thought about doing a Zombie build for shits and giggles.

I looked up that poll recently by Gas Guzzler.

There are so many cool mechs there, that I look up on Sarna and get excited for.

This isn't one of them.

IS already has two heaps of garbage at 100 tons, a semi-situational only effective by a small few Anni. Then the Nightstar heap is 95. Oh and the Banshee despite being not that common and a tad boring, is 95 and certainly better than anything IS 100t.

This is absolutely the last thing we needed.

As it has been pointed out, we know from past experience that the art is often a huge indication of how the hitboxes are going to work out, and in this case all signs point to ***** $%#*&@# awful. Truly eff'n terrible the safe money is on. In fact so much so that already the focus is on hoping against all hopes that it is quirked enough to overcome it being a complete pos.

You know what I want?

I want an 80 tonner for IS that isn't niche or outright garbage. I want one with decent mounts that needs minimal quirking if any at all.

Even another option at 75 or 60 tons would have been great.

This thing? I really hope the preorders are low enough to get the decision maker over at PGI to reflect on what could add to the game and make things more interesting.

I am actually peeved about this nonsense and still none too happy after getting the Thantos. This is like adding salt to the wound.

80 tonner?
There's the Thug for the 3025 crowd, the Legacy for WoB fans, or the slightly-out-of-timeline Warlord for BattleMaster lovers.

60 tonner?
The Black Hawk-KU for those who love laser boating (if we ever get Is OmniMechs), the Lancelot for people who wanted the Black Knight to have higher mounts, or the Anvil for some sneaky ECM + JJ laser boating.

75 tonner?
Easily the best category to choose a 'mech from, IMO. Bandersnatch, Defiance, Dragon Fire, Falconer, Hammerhands, Penetrator, Toyama... so many lovely 'mechs!

You can balance the tech all you won't. Still won't change the deciding factor. The meatbag behind the mech. If that under-performs then so will the mech.

How come Gas Guzzler hasn't chimed in yet? He probably made this mech happen.

He doesn't post much at all these days. Not even on Reddit.

Maybe he moved on?

PGI will have to create that mech themselves, because I've searched Sarna, and that 80 ton IS mech literally doesn't exist.

The only legit "good out of the box" mech the IS has left is 65 ton the Jinggau:

Even it has flaws, and PGI would have to create many variants out of thin air.

You are off your rocker. There are plenty of decent "out of the box" 'Mechs apart from the Jinggau.

In timeline IS mechs? I've searched Sarna from 45 tons to 100 tons, and I'm not seeing much other than mediocrity,
