Just an idea. Allow selling xp for 2 cbills per xp, gxp for 5 cbills per xp.

Makes it so your max skilled mech farms a little extra.

That would be an average of 3050 c-bills per match for me. Barely a drop in the bucket.

It's not meant to be a very large source of bonus cbills, just something to do with the xp that you generally don't use on mechs you play a lot and have already maxed. Maybe have an checkbox option in the skills tree to auto-sell XP as it's gained by that mech so you won't even have to do any extra clicking.

This would be nice, would also be a further incentive to buy premium mechs as once you get a build on one that works you typically just grind like you're going to law school.

And, if you have champion mechs (the 30% xp boost ones) for some reason you get slightly more out of them. Not much, but it's something.

I'd rather buy gxp for cbills. Saves a lot of grind.

I like this idea I could get a little extra out of mechs I maxed out and have a ton of xp to throw away, whenever I feel like too.

I feel like it would make the difference between a pay player and free player bigger. Currently you can't just buy XP with any currency. You can convert XP to GXP. But you still have to work for it. If people can purchase C-bills, then purchase XP, they can max skill out a mech on their first drop. So those pathetic individuals that need to inflate their epeen by smurfy can get an even bigger edge.

So I say no.

Inflate their epeen by smurfy? lolwut?

EDIT: Actually, I don't follow the logic in any of your post. The OP suggested that XP could be sold for a small amount of CBills and did not suggest that XP could be purchased at all. All this would do is allow you to convert superflous XP into a small amount of CBills of which the only utility in the game is buying non-premium colors, 'mechs, consumables, and equipment. This would not in any way shape or form allow someone to instantly skill up a 'mech and I don't know why you think that it does.

As far as skilling out 'mechs on the first drop, I can already do that. Though it has nothing to do with me spending any amount of real money on this game and everything to do with PGI's botched handling of the module refund when the skill tree went live. More GSP and GXP than I will ever need.

Ohhh. I got it backwards. My bad. I don't have a problem with selling XP for c-bills. :3

As for GSP. The difference is you earned that. And you're already an established player anyway. So you're higher in tiers.

I was thinking of someone starting a new account. Then just buying XP to max out what should be their first mech in tier 5. But I was confused by what Gooddragon2 said. Like I said I'm fine with XP sale for c-bills. I just don't like what the other way around would cause.
