Game mode idea: Map Control
Basic concept: Domination but with 4 circles separated across the map.
Why it's different: Ends the murder ball by making it necessary for each team to split up and seek/maintain control of separate areas of the map. Unlike conquest, units would have to stay in position in order to keep their timer ticking.

That's asking a lot for a pug.
I still like the idea. However, what is there to discourage each team from ignoring the objectives and just playing as if it was a skirmish?

Nothing at all... That's the problem with EVERY mode currently used, except escort. (probably the main reason why escort is so hated, apart from its other flaws)
[EDIT] And Conquest... It works to force people to do the objectives or lose.

I am not sure it would work. In nearly every game mode the best strategy is kill everyone and then do the objective. I think even with 4 circles what you will find is that some you would murderball through each of the circles or more likely you would get more C bill and XP by going out and trying to kill em all.
Unless you change the rewards drastically I think you end up murderballing no matter what in PUG especially at my level,

PGI could do something radical with ALL the Non-Skirmish Game Modes to encourage doing the Objective. They could simply make it so that you MUST complete the Objective without killing the entire Enemy Team in order to achieve Victory. Otherwise, the round becomes an Automatic Tie, with no exceptions. Further, with this "Map Control" mode, an Extra Bonus can be given for completing the Objective and achieving a Victory with at least 4 members of the Enemy Team remaining Alive. This would put a severe shift in necessary strategies required in order to actually earn from this "Map Control" mode. If PGI made the bonuses high enough, it could get down to an interesting 4v4 of "Who's gonna budge first?", which could become a real laugh for everyone involved in a Match.

Might be interesting to use this as a more traditional form of Conquest in FP... Where you have to capture and hold a point for a certain amount of time, then it locks, and you have to move to the next point.
